    • The right length for a safety backup for a prong collar

This works as a safety backup. I connect one end to my dog's flat collar and the other end to the leash. If the prong collar releases unexpectedly, the flat collar will still be there connected to the leash. The only reason I gave it 4 stars on sturdiness is that the clips are smaller than the one on my leash and the strap is narrower and thinner than my leash which makes me wonder whether it would hold my 64+ pound Golden Retriever "puppy" in case the prong collar failed. ... show more

These are actually great, but they are wide and the hardware is big and heavy. I wanted to use these for dogs of all sizes and I think even medium dogs would find them too clunky and uncomfortable. I wish they made smaller ones and also made it clearer that the hardware is big.
