I hesitated buying this carrier because I thought I'd look a little silly (I was right but it's silly in a fun way so it's fine). I have a small Yorkie & she loves going for walks as long as she doesn't have to actually walk. This carrier is adorable & honestly my dog "Rainbow" looks adorable in it. If you don't really enjoy attention, don't buy this carrier. Rainbow already commands a lot of attention & she loves it, I'm not a big fan of being stopped every other minute on a walk so I mostly use this indoors. It keeps my dog from being "underfoot" & I can use my hands while carrying her. I don't feel like she's going to fall, but the shoulder straps don't feel very secure. This would be a 5 star product; however, it's already difficult to get a wiggly pup in the carrier & it has zippers on either side to make getting them in easier. A little forethought or product testing should have quickly identified the problem of zipping a furry animal into anything; it takes more work than necessary to make sure her hair doesn't get caught in the zipper. I'm sure I can modify this but I shouldn't have to. ... show more

The backpack is well constructed. My yorkie weighs 4 pounds and I ordered a medium. It was way to big for her. It came up high under her throat which I did not like. I kept it because I have bigger yorkies that can use it. Overall I really like it. It is easy to put on.

I would’ve loved this carrier but it runs small. My 6lb Yorkie will need a Medium, not the Small as size chart suggests. It looks to be excellent quality and durable.
