First of all, this inverter comes with a cigarette lighter plug to power it AND alligator clips to attach to a battery directly. Why? Because the wiring and fusing of your power port, aka cigarette lighter socket in your car will be damaged if you try and pull 600 Watts out of it. That's why you can only run things like laptops or so in your car...maybe up to 150 Watts or a bit more. But if you go camping and want to plug your cooler or small fridge in, you will need to pop the hood and then you just switch to the alligator clips to directly pull power from your battery. Remember that this is rated at 600 Watts so don't be surprised if you can't run more than one big power hungry item at a time. You should still be able to run fans and lights at the same time though. Note that the power it puts out is of a modified sine wave form. Sensitive electronics may not like that. Most things will work just fine. Now let's talk price. This unit is only a few bucks more than most 300 and 400 Watt units. It is of course larger but my point is this unit is very well priced for what you get. Both the Type C and Type A USB charger ports are quick charge ports. Something the lesser quality units don't have is a simple on/off switch which is on the back of this one. So I bought mine to store away for emergency use. It runs a small fridge I have that also is unplugged and stored away. This inverter is wrapped in bubble wrap and stored in a Faraday bag inside of a steel drum just to protect it from an EMP or solar disturbance. My family has medications that need to be kept cool or they go bad. They go bad and people die. Luckily we have solar power and other inverter backups stored too. Have this running battery direct (alligator clamp style, just with permanent connection) to my house battery in the RV. So far it's worked great on the little loads I've thrown at it. Not sure I've breached anything close to 600w in fairness, but, it's meeting my needs. Highly recommend.

I got this as a USB-C is on pretty much all my devices now, and so for the car having a USBC charger for an iPad or laptop, this unit is awesome. So far I haven't really used the AC plug for much, but it appears to work so there's that. The alligator clips it comes with isn't really a permanent feeling solution, and you might want to use a ring terminal connection instead, which is what I'm gonna do. I got this item so we could have some 110 in an emergency. We do have a generator, but if Murphy's law should come into effect and the generator fails, then we would still have backup power with this item. It works perfectly. I tested the USB A, USB C, and the AC power outputs. They all worked as they should. On USB C the was "charging". On USB A the phone was "charging rapidly". I was able to run a small fan from the AC power outlets. So in an emergency we have one more source of power. The one area I think could definitely use improvement though is the cords. Both the lighter plug cord and the battery cord are *very* short. (see photos) Maybe 1.5 feet at the most. I think at least 3 feet would have been much better and more useful. But even with the short cords, it does work as advertised, so I will give it full marks. Five stars. ... show more

This product is a well-made 600W Power inverter, That inverts 12V DC To 110V AC that features 2 US-standard AC(511W) outlets & 2 USB ports(89W). This product has dual connectivity modes, The first being the cigarette lighter cable plug, which can be used to power devices under 150W, such as phones, tablets, cameras, etc. And the second being greater than 150W to 600W you will need to connect the battery using the red and black alligator clips. This device contains many different safety features as well as Intelligent protection programs Such as over voltage protection, Under voltage protection, Overload protection, and short circuit protection and more. The power inverter is red in color and is a decent size about the length of a phone, but the size of a watch case. This product can be easy to use an operate however you should get familiarized with devices and their voltage and power before connecting cables or devices to this product and using batteries, a manual is included however I would still get familiarized with polarity and battery device voltage input/output frequencies before messing around with your devices and using this power inverter. ... show more

    • Terrible customer service. 1 month product lifespan
Product stopped working 1 day after the return date. Used it 3 times camping. Don't buy, there are better products out there. I email customer support a few times, finally gave up and still haven't heard back from them.
