I purchased these for myself and for my brother and we have had hours of fun with these!!!! Truly, this has been one of the best purchases that we have made in a long time. If you throw the tennis ball too hard, they tend to bounce off and won't stick to the paddle. Also, the tennis ball had to be glued because it started coming apart. Minor detail though. after we glued it, it was just like new. I actually want to order more sets of these so that I can play them with my friends :D It's fun to live in the 90's again for a brief period of time!! Fun catch game for all ages. We use them in the pool, but on land would be just as fun. We have owned three sets of these. They usually last for a year or two, and worth it for the price.

I'm rating these 5 stars for now. They seem like they could fall apart over time, but it's also relatively inexpensive and you'll get good usage. We use these at the beach and the park when we don't want to take our our mitts. These are fun for a casual game of catch and toss, especially if you have young ones who are learning coordination. Ours are still intact after numerous hard tosses and continuous pulling on the velcro to release the ball. It's just the nature of this game (and not the product necessarily) - hard impacts and velcro wearing out over time. I recommend this product with realistic expectations that they'll give out one day, but you should get a lot of play out of them! ... show more

When it comes to growing kids, it's not easy to figure out what to gift- especially if you really don't know the kid (like a classmate). Some toys are timeless and this is one! Me and my 8 year old are having a blast with the the same toy I had fun with in the 90's as a kid. Can't lose buying this for a side present.

    • Very fun outdoor activity. Get outside with your kids and play ball
I bought 2 sets of these for a kids party. There are some reviewers who said these are cheap and fall apart. While I agree they are cheap, it is nothing some glue won't fix. The plastic shell is hard enough that I don't think it will break. And as long as the shell doesn't break, then it will be good for a while. The Velcro is really strong and I feel this is where some people are having issues. The ball has the tendency to pull the pad off the shell. It's so strong, 3-year old boys were having trouble getting the ball off. But I would rather have too much stick, then less. Imagine tossing the ball back and fourth and the ball simply fell off the pad? That would not be fun. If you have some glue and some mad "kindergarten craft" skills you can make this work. It's a fun game and I am glad it comes with a large and smaller ball. ... show more

Its as if the velcro just dry rots on the ball it is applied to Love the concept But im sick of buying replacement balls from your co over smd over again
