Disclaimer: I did receive this item for free to try out. HOWEVER! All opinions are my own and I pride myself on unbiased reviews that can help others decide whether something is worth it. If you call yourself a highlighter you better highlight. I’ve used a lot of different highlighters in the past and usually it’s not nearly bright enough. Luckily this does do an alright job at highlighting. It’s bright and shimmery as long as you layer it. One light brush won’t be enough though. In the photos I swirled a decent amount on my finger and it does build up nicely to a very bright and shimmery look. I got the #3 which is a very bright gold color. As a cosplayer I admittedly don’t use make up the way normal people do. I absolutely exaggerate features a lot be it highlighting, shadows, or blush. Everything is very over the top generally so my photos can come out better with me truly looking like an anime/video game character. I’m always on the lookout for SUPER BRIGHT HIGHLIGHTERS. I can make this work. I've definitely had better and brighter highlighters though that don't require as much layering. It's not a good idea to have your highlighter lay on too thick, it would look bad. With this one if you don't lay it on a bunch though it wouldn't be bright enough. This is Made in China FYI. Admittedly I do prefer makeup made in Japan, Korea, EU or the US. Occasionally the stuff made in China can be questionable as far as quality and safety. I’ve heard some horror stories from people breaking out or having skin issues from makeup that’s made in China. Hopefully that won't be an issue with this one. I haven't noticed anything but it's always a potshot with stuff made in China. Just food for thought. ... show more

This is a good highlighter and very buildable depending on your glow wants. It has a hint of purple shimmer with one coat but it is more noticeable once you start building up. It goes on very sooth, got lots of compliments and lasted all day (I do use settling spray) recommend

It's not as pigmented as some other highlights that I own, but I actually like that. It lets me build up to the level that I want. I can have a nice subtle highlight easily with just a swipe or two, or a really stand-out highlight with just a few more strokes. The color is pretty, it has a nice shimmer, and stays on all day. This leaves a huge cast. Highlight should only be seen when light is reflecting off of it, but this you can see it even when there is no light reflection on it. This is a finely-milled highlighter that is buildable and smooth. It's easy to use for a subtle highlight, or to add more layers for a more pronounced shimmer. It goes on well over other products, such as foundation or powder, and the compact seems to be sturdy and well-constructed.
