    • Works well for many homeowner projects but not so much for larger projects
Style: 20v angle grinder set
I used this tool on many projects to try it under various different circumstances. It did not do very well with large projects like cutting through a cement wall to add a new opening for a door. The battery did not last as long as I had hoped and it was under-powered compared to other grinders I have used. On the other hand, this is lighter weight and will be the one I reach for more often to remove burrs on metal after cutting, take sharp edges off a cut, and similar uses. I had to cut off a piece of cast iron pipe and used a sawzall for cutting but then used this to make the cut edge smooth and remove the rough edges. While it under performed for cutting the thick cast iron pipe, it worked fast and well to cut of about 25 bolts that had been anchors in a cement wall to secure a pool cage. It zipped right through them very well and smoothed out the tops. I also tried it out on a piece of sheet metal that needed to be resurfaced and it did well for that application. So, for me, the bottom line is that I did not find it to be my first choice for large, thick cutting needs, but did find it easily able to handle cutting bolts, frozen nuts, resurfacing sheet metal and similar needs. As a grinder I was happy with it overall but as a cutting tool I was happy only with smaller items like bolts (including thick half inch bolts). So, good for the homeowner and most of their needs where you are using it a few hours on an occasional basis. But if you plan to be using it almost every day, then you will want something that has a longer lasting battery and more power. I should note that the battery (and it only comes with one) is of a design that it is not interchangeable with other American tools. But I do have some other tools that are of China origin and use the same type of battery so I effectively have spares and can always have a couple batteries charged at all times. ... show more

At first, the case seems great! Until you realize that you cannot fit the angle grinder in there! See photos. But the case is actually nice -- so I'm using it to store other tools. The angle grinder itself is ok for light work--its a little long and a bit heavier than others. So I'm only using it as a cut off saw -- not for grinding. And for that it works well. ... show more

While this unit is not going to be as powerful as one with a higher voltage battery and motor or a wired version, it is quite capable of most home and do-it-yourself projects. It comes packaged nicely in its own toolbox and includes grinding and cutting blades, so you're ready to go on receipt. It's rather amazing what a great deal this is. The tool feels very well built, comes with several grinding attachments , and a carrying case. There is a cutout foam insert in the case that allows you to snugly put everything away, but if you use it, you can't keep the blade and guard on the grinder. You can pull it out and just have everything loose in it and then everything will fit, but won't be secured and immovable. Mine didn't come with instructions, just the specifications. I emailed them and am expecting that they'll email me the directions. I did try some cutting with the thinnest grinders and this thing went right through the metal. Its a 20' long header for an old automatic pool cover. It's been sitting on the side of my house forever because its too long to take anywhere. This grinder is going to allow me to get rid of it for less than what haul-away would cost. The grinder is pretty easy to change out blades with the included tool and release button on the saw. I received this angle grinder via the Amazon Vine review program, having never owned one previously. The product arrived in a plastic box and included all of the pieces advertised in the online description. The product quality was on the cheap side, which is notable as this is a dangerous tool. Further, the instructions that arrive with the product are woefully inadequate and simply not usable. I was hoping to use this product with a buffing pad but have elected not to do so and search for a safer product. ... show more
