  • TECHNICAL SPECS: Jaw Width 6 (15.24 cm), Jaw Opening 5.75" (14.605 cm), Throat Depth 1" (2.54 cm), Slot Width: 0.6" (1.52 cm), Slot centerline: 7.15" (18.16 cm).
  • HOW TO USE: Make sure vise is securely mounted to the workbench and the swivel base lock is secure. Open the vise by turning the vise handle counterclockwise. Place item between the serrated jaws. Close the vise by turning the vise handle clockwise until the item is snug in the serrated jaws, continue to tighten until you can no longer move item. Don't over tighten as this may damage item and or the vise. When finished working on the item, turn screw handle counterclockwise to release the item.

Can hold items reasonably square for drilling in a press .. havent tried it on my mill yet, but it should be okay for that too since I lack a proper machinists vice and this is more shallow then the tilt vice I usually use.

The vice was about what I expected in a low-cost, light-duty vice. However, the machined surfaces were not deburred, and were sharp enough to deliver a serious cut. Really sharp. Be careful when removing the vice from the box, those sharp edges were not protected. A little work with a file and some sandpaper will benefit your Band Aid fund. I ordered this for my bench top drill press. I thought that I had all the measurements however when it arrived I found that it's bit too large for the bench top and doesn't allow for any room to use. If it was smaller it would be perfect. I recommend this product for a larger bench top or floor mount drill press. ... show more
