The cables are a bit short. Very self-aware charging. Pretty much a brilliant little charger that outperforms the published specifications. Compact and light weight for a charger. Would definitely buy again, a great deal for $20. It would still be a good deal for $30.

    • Charges. rejuvenates?
It does a decent job charging. Display shows progress (amps and voltage). That it can actually rejuvenate a battery is questionable. (Certainly not fix a worn out battery, more like early maintenance at the most.) Definitely lighter and less bulky than typical chargers.

There’s a lot to like about this charger: - compact size compared to a traditional car battery charger - adaptive charging; it provides more amps if your battery is low, and lowers amperage as the battery takes the charge - it can test a battery, giving voltage and an estimate of the state of charge before you even plug it in - automatically adjusts the charging curve to account for the ambient temperature… a cold battery has different charging characteristics than a hot one. - presets for car batteries, AGM batteries, and smaller batteries like motorcycles and lawn mowers - pulse charging to help recondition older or damaged batteries I hooked this up to my minivan, and it told me the battery was pretty low. We’ve had some issues with that battery, so I ran it in repair mode for a few hours. The battery seemed much healthier, and accepted a fair amount of charge. There are a few issues that I encountered: - after one use, the plastic cover over the black clip was already cracked - I had a lot of trouble removing the red clip from the positive terminal on the battery. These clips are just a tad too small. - there is no provision for cable management, so when not in use, the wires are all over the place and in the way. I added a silicone wire holder on the top, which helped a lot. - unlike an old-school charger, there is no high amperage jump-start mode This isn’t my fathers old Sears battery charger… Despite the minor issues I encountered, I’m really glad to have this to use with my aging car batteries. With luck, it will let me squeeze a couple of extra years out of them before I have to replace them. ... show more
