It came down to creating a dust and moisture resistant way to obtain a USB charging port, or just skip that entirely and go wireless. I bought my first one of these charging pads almost 2 years ago on a bit of a whim. It was on sale at the time and I had only ever used cables to charge my devices prior to that, so I was a little tentative, I’ll admit. I don’t really have any frame of reference, but look, I’ve been delighted by these chargers. So much so, that I now own three of them. I have one by my bed, one in the living room, and one in my office. They’ve held up perfectly, work with my own iPhone and earbuds as well as those of my friends and family, and I just genuinely don’t have any complaints. You really can’t beat the price, either. Is it slower or faster than a lightning cable? No idea. I set my phone down on it all the time, though, so it really doesn’t matter to me, because the sheer convenience is what I’m after. Whenever I can upgrade to a larger apartment and get a guest bedroom going, I’ll be putting on of these in there too. No brainer. ... show more

So for starters, for the price that it is, it's great but you have to be very specific about how you place your phone or else it won't work. The cord length is kinda on the short side but you could use it on your nightstand without any issues. The appearance is very nice to look at. There's not a battery life since you have to plug it in but it's kinda slow at charging your phone. It connects easily with the phone and no issues are charging. You could place it just about any wear honestly so it does have some versatility to it but you obviously can't put it in your car. ... show more

This is low profile, doesn't take up much room, and it's easy to charge my iPhone and my Kindle when I'm not using them. I've had no problem with the charger. I literally just set the item down. You can see the green light when it connects, and you're good to go. They make it very easy.

I have an iPhone 8 (that I bought about five minutes before the iPhone SE second gen was released, and I still kick myself for that). I prefer the smaller form factor. Pant pockets are not getting any larger so why are phones doing that? I had been successfully keeping it charged with lightning cables until that started to stop being dependable. A good cleaning of the charging port would likely have solved my problem but I could never find time to run to the mall and visit one of the seven phone repair stations there. So I did about four seconds of research and discovered that the iPhone 8 supported magnetic charging and I bought a magnetic charger. My life was saved, the universe was perfect, and everyone lived happily ever after. ...until the phone stopped charging. I assumed that the charger had broken. (That was stupid of me and we will get to that...) So I went shopping for a new charger. What I did want in a new one was the ability to run off of a portable power supply; the first one I bought came hard-wired to a wall wart. I found and purchased this model. I was excited to get it home and start charging my phone again. I plugged it into an available USB port and set my phone on it... Bupkis. Nada. No joy. Epic fail. This product did not work. But here is where that stupidity that I mentioned earlier comes in. I did about four more seconds of research and discovered that a hard reset of my phone could solve the problem. I did that. It worked. I then realized that this charger works exactly as advertised. I keep this one in my travel bag with a fully charged portable battery to handle any emergent charging needs. (I am using my original unit as my primary at-home charger.) The peace of mind that comes with having this portable charger is priceless. ... show more

i love it my phone charger stopped working a week ago and don't won't to spend 100+$ to get a new phone so i bough this and have been useing it to charge my phone.but the only complaint i have is i can't turn off the light. but the magnet and everything else is grate like the charging is fast it is has lots of stability and it is easy to take please because of its size.and it charges my phone to 100% every time and the appearance is not the greatest tho with the light ... show more
