I wanted a decent sewing machine cover that I could throw over whichever machine I was taking a break from in between sewing sessions. Two of my machines came with their own hard case coverings and two have nothing. I don't really want to fiddle with the hard case coverings unless they aren't being used for a long period or being transported somewhere. This cover is made of a grey light canvas material for the outer shell. The inside is lined with a baby blue nylon material and there is what sounds like a plastic layer between the outer and inner layers. Probably has that plastic layer to keep out fine dust from creeping through the fabrics and also to block liquids. There is a strong odor of plastic coming from the cover so I will need to air it out before using. It does have some generously sized outside pockets for a bit of storage. It does not have a top handle for pulling off the machines but I can just make a handle for it. It does fit my Brother Project Runway CS 5055, my Bernette 35, and my Brother pe535 Embroidery machine (as long as I take off the embroidery table). Unfortunately my old Singer Surger is it's own shape and design that will require it's own special cover. Three machines out of four isn't bad. It will be very nice to be able to cover up the current machine while it is in between uses, especially with a cat in the house that likes to jump up on tables to inspect the work. This is a nice sewing machine dust cover. It’s well constructed and has a soft lining on the inside so your machine is protected. The fabric is stiff enough to hold its shape even if it’s bigger than necessary for your machine. It should wear well and be very durable over time. It has pockets with transparent windows on both ends so you can see the contents if you store anything in them. The front has a divided pocket for additional storage. It’s perfect for the pedal & cord if you don’t leave them plugged in. With a pet who loves to chew wires, it’s an especially useful feature so everything can be stored together and no searching for this, that or the other thing. This dust cover is very reasonably priced and the workmanship is quality. Per the listing it’s compatible with most Bernina, Brother & Singer sewing machines. It has generous dimensions to fit larger machines and easily fits over my Singer Featherweight sewing machine. It certainly beats the pillow case I’ve been using! I am really glad I ordered this. My machine came with a thin duster that looked super cheap. This is the best softcover I have ever seen. It is not as bulky as the extra hardcover I purchased, but it is thick and protective. The cover is well-constructed, a nice neutral color, and has handy pockets for storing sewing essentials. I have a couple new machines with matching hard covers and I thought about getting rid of my old machine, but now that I have this cover on it, it looks so good and is so functional, I don't want to. This sewing machine dust cover fits my Scandinavia 200 by Viking Hisqvarna perfectly! The original cover which came with the machine is all clear vinyl except for the bound seams and edges. The original cover has a cutout for the machine's carrying handle, so you could keep it covered even during transport. It also tore the clear vinyl cover near the handle. Since this new cover lacks a handle cutout, it won't be able to tear that way. I plan to add black webbing straps to this cover and a bottom for carrying the machine.
