For a first goal, this is a good option. It raises and lowers (remove/replace a screw) and moves around. Recommend buying sand bags to lay on top to keep it from blowing over. It is top heavy and any small gust of wind could knock it over. The plus side of that is it's easy to move (without the weighted down sand). Also, contacted the seller needing assistance with the product ordered and they were prompt to respond and address my challenge. Assembly was easy, and the hoop feels sturdy enough for casual play. I do worry a little about the backboard's durability in harsher weather, but for everyday use, it’s great. The advertisement of the item is a little misleading. The goal itself is sturdy, assembly was simple. However the wheels on this thing in the photos are black wide sturdy wheels. The wheels you receive with this thing are cheap white thin wheels that break after you assemble fill and roll this thing around 3 or 4 times. Luckily when my kids want this moved I’m strong enough to lift and move it, but I shouldn’t have to had they not sent me these cheap wheels that they never advertised. Don’t waste your money on this guys unless your ready to practice power lifting when your ready to move it. Spend the money and get better quality this one I consider junk! FAST FORWARD TO THE CURRENT THE COMPANY REACHED OUT TO ME AND REFUNDED ME 3/4 OF THE PURCHASE PRICE AND SENT ME A NEW GOAL. THE COMPANY ADVISED ME THAT THEY HAD UPGRADED THE WHEELS TO LAST ON THE PRODUCT. SINCE I HAVE ALREADY UPGRADED THE GOAL WITH HEAVY DUTY INDUSTRIAL WHEELS ON MY OWN, I WILL NOT ASSEMBLE THE NEW GOAL. My boys love this set, the pole is strong and sturdy. The base is big and stable. The backboard completely shattered after 8 months, but the seller and company quickly and kindly replaced the item, which I was not expecting. I was completely amazed on how fast they responded to my complaint. This is why I'm giving it 5 stars and highly recommend this seller. I just hope the new backboard lasts longer. For a casual basketball hoop for young kids, this is a decent product. It came with extra bolts for assembly. Assembly was mildly difficult (I needed an extra pair of hands to hold and steady it at times), and it was very unclear just how much I should tighten the springs under the hoop. The backboard is flimsy, and the rim height is not easily adjustable. It requires tipping the hoop over and removing bolts. The base can be filled with either water or sand. They recommend water if you plan on moving it a lot because it is easier to remove. Again, it's a really affordable hoop, so as long as your expectations are low, it will be fine. If you are expecting a high quality, easily adjustable hoop, you will probably need to spend more money. ... show more
