I ordered the purple and grey leaves pattern. The grey is a beautiful silver grey. The "purple" is lilac. (Not lavender or purple, but very pinkish, though not pink) They grey on the solid side is not as pretty as the leaves side. Weight/warmth: It's lightweight and adds the warmth that a heavy blanket would add. It doesn't offer the warmth of a comforter. I like that it was as pictured I used it thanksgiving everyone loved it. My dislike was the shame were standard size and barely that. Had to stuff my pillows in them and couldn't use my queen size pillows.. The quilt is pretty warm. It did fit. My only dislike was the cases..
