Bought this because of having a small apartment layout with the bathroom right off of the bedroom, as well as my partners small office. We needed sound dampening for the bathroom use as well as when she is doing zoom calls. It's not as loud as we expected it to be but it covers up most of the sounds we want covered up. This is louder and closer to the classic Marpac Dohm (new ones aren’t loud enough). The color is adorable and it’s really nice. I hope the manufacturer does not change a thing about this item. It’s absolutely perfect. Bought one in a different color for my husband to use in his home office. It helps drown out any extra sounds while he’s in meetings or on calls. I believe we are up to 6 of these between our home and clinic. We have one in each bedroom for sleeping, in our home office space to help reduce distracting noise with the kiddos being home all day now and at our Wellness Clinic to keep noise from the hallway and other practitioners to a minimum. The volume and tone of the white-noise can be adjusted and it is mechanical (not digital) so there is no annoying "looping" like that I have endured while trying to fall asleep to other white-noise machines. ... show more

I’m not really sure why Dohm has so much street cred but it’s the only machine I’ll buy for the purpose. :) Bought this soft pink one this time just bc I think they’re Guly in general so it’s a nice contrast. I wish they’d come out w crazier colors!

So I did some research and watched many reviews attempting to find myself a sleep sound machine that would work and be as loud as a box fan I run all night long, my husband hates the box fan as it drys him out and gives headaches also makes it even more cold as i live in Alaska. This one was one i came back to maritimea so for the price I thought ill give it a go. It wasn't as loud as I thought it would be according to reviews and only 2 options for volume. It's beautiful sound i absolutely love the sound just far from liud enough so if i had like 8 of them maybe but that defeats the purpose nore will it save money on electricity bill haha we still use it in the kids room.
