After assembly of the shelf. I noticed that the re-enforced bracket holds it in place. If you are going to make it stationary. use the wall strap. I suggest it if you have children or in a high traffic area.

I have one that's in the charcoal grey/black and one that's white/gold. Both are fine. I got the YITAHOME 5-shelf to match the 6-shelf bookshelf that I got. This one is a fair bit smaller and doesn't match the shelf height of the 6-shelf bookcase. The metal framing is also much thinner. They ultimately don't really match. The gold was a really nice shade of sparkly yellow/beige. It's a lot brighter than the typical bronze/flat brown on some other "gold"/white furniture. ... show more
