The finish matches others in my kitchen. I wanted to put this on the inside of a cabinet door under the sink for use like little paper towels on stainless steel to avoid paper towels scratching the finish. I also use the tp for tissues and keep it handy for dog accidents. The TP, of course, can go down the toilet so there is no stinky stuff in the waste basket. Perfect for geriatric dogs in the house. So the adhesive pad is the size of the back of the thing (you can see that in the picture) and it holds permanently. You'll need a heat gun or hair dryer to loosen it up if you want to remove it. I used a strip of paper taped to the door as a guide to get the thing on straight. If you had to use screws you risk drilling through the cabinet door and out the front. And that is a pain in the neck installation really. So the install was super easy and almost instant gratification, since it goes on so quick and easy. If you are looking for one like this one, for the price and easy installation, quality of the finish and good looks... it's a home run. Easy choice to make. ... show more

Very nice, sturdy, and an inexpensive way to upgrade bathroom. Self-adhesive sticky is very strong and works great. Know exactly where you want to put the holder because once it sticks to the surface, it’s staying! Like so much, I bought a second one and a hand towel holder/ring. Highly recommend!

The second one we’ve had about a year and it just simply fell off yesterday. We ordered a new one which came today, because we were very happy with #1 and thought we’d give it another shot. This is my second purchase of these. First one eas for a new en suite primary bath in black. They work great as long as you follow simple instructions. I would not recommend for sheetrock which I think some of the negatives were about. I also place it not vertical as shown but with the opening toward the back.
