I was using the mouthpiece that came with my soprano and I was having unusual issues. I’ve been playing alto for decades so I knew it wasn’t completely me. I purchased this mouthpiece because I knew I wanted something within a particular price point and because I had purchased a similar one for my alto sax. My first impression was great. The way it so easily went into the neck was satisfying. Immediately upon playing to see if I was in tune and yes I was I then went through the paces playing the lowest notes as well as the highest I can play on soprano and it was all effortlessly accomplished. If your ever in a position where you know it’s the mouthpiece you’re using is the problem then before you go spend hundreds of dollars on the trendy and popular brands I dare you to give this one a try. ... show more

I keep coming back to it. And now I'll admit it. I've played for 12 out of 30 years - all four major horns and I've had a lot of mouthpieces - Rousseau, Rascher, Rico, multiple metals, multiple Selmers, Hand finished, Vandoren . . . THIS is BY FAR my all-time favorite mouthpiece. Maybe I got lucky. I don't want to believe that I sound so much better on something that's so much cheaper, but I really do. Play with it - find the right reed - use a softer reed. This thing does work! ... show more

I am very happy with this purchase, I have finally got the sound I have been searching for. Bright and edgy while able to pull back on the air and get a nice soft sound as well. Much better than the Yibuy Silver plated #7 I tried about a year ago. I was hesitant due to the #7 I had bought but I'm really happy with this one. I highly suggest it if you are looking to save a buck or two versus some of the other metal MP's out there. ... show more

    • For the price it's not terrible but it isn't great either
The mouthpiece does look nice and is well finished. The opening is a bit wide so it probably isn't the best option for many players unless all you want to do is play very loud. I ligature that came with it was a bit flimsy but it does work. The mouthpiece cover, while looking good, is clearly too large and doesn't add value. One other issue was I found the opening of the mouthpiece a bit large when putting it on the neck of my sax. I had to put some tape inside of it to get a snug fit. This may not be your experience as my cork on the neck is rather old and worn down. As something to experiment with it was fine given the cost. ... show more
