  • Great welder so far
To make it clear this is my first and only gtaw welder and the only aluminum welding I have done so far is only with this welder. I have something like 180-200 hours smaw (stick) welding from like 15-16 years ago which I was basically given a crash course in about two hours and then started major fabrication and complete builds which my last true test project was a log trailer bout 26-30’ from the pintel hitch to the rear and could carry 30-35’ logs and is still being used to this day. Then I recently got back into welding as of April 2023 with a miller bobcat 250. Oh and the reason I stopped was I didn’t know anyone that could use a stick welder and I didn’t own a generator welder as plug in welders cost way way to much to run for stuff I like to do. So basic history and as of me getting my bobcat I’ve added about 2.5-3 hours tops stick welding to get close to welding like I was. Now the yeswelder ac/dc 250 tig welder is my first tig welder and I got it to learn both tig welding and basics of aluminum welding and also if I want to weld stuff under 1/8” or perhaps a bit thinner 1/16” or less for sure. I bought a yeswelder mig 250p for fcaw and gmaw (flux core and mig) and most likely thicker aluminum like 3/16” or more that I want done quickly. So far I got about 30-40 minutes to get from the trash welding of aluminum to the ok looking beads I am showing. I’ve got 1.2-1.5 hours total with the tig welder slightly more time with welding steel to figure the tig process out better as I got lucky in the first pic where you see the burn through hole. I haven’t really had a issue other then the manual isn’t really meant for a novice tig welder. Some of the settings I easily understand some make no sense. Plus the fact it’s all AC welding for aluminum plus learning pulse settings. Now that I am pretty sure settings won’t get messed up anymore and I’m finally getting my technique down I feel this is a quality welder no doubt. Now I won’t say by any means this thing can outdo a miller dynasty or syncrowave with inverter technology. But so far with both my mig and tig welders being inverter tech and seen first hand the ability they have mainly my tig welder it will out class any old style transformer type welder hands down except the most extreme top of the line welders with that old technology at there core. Also someone said that the foot pedal won’t control amps on the 250? Ya it does I have the foot pedal that yeswelder sells and I can’t even begin to handle it below 30-40 amps bout 25-30% pedal lowest I can keep welding with my welder set at 120 peak on aluminum. I took to the foot pedal off the top as I am loving the ability to set up my welder on the hot hot side of the ampage but dial in what I want which is almost always maxed with the way I am learning and backing off when I sense possible burn thru. Ya the cover is thin sheet metal ya most of the stuff they could go cheap on they did. But most of all my biggest issue is the connector for the torch is some off the wall metric size I can’t just find a adapter for to use us standard sizes easy with. So getting other torches or better brands which is what I’m wanting most of all water cooling as I like thin gloves to tig weld and the stock torch gets hot and makes me stop after 3-8 min and that is running about 50-70% duty cycle at 110-125amps and 18-20 cfh on my argon. I recommend this welder for sure if you are willing to spend at least 600-1000 to get setup which that does include basics like consumables and at least a pound each of steel and aluminum filler rods. I got 1/16” but wish I’d grabbed something thicker but it is teaching me to prep more and better. Plus I feel I am learning a key point to tig welding and that is you don’t always need filler or you don’t reallly need much at all for most applications that I am doing. Plus that amount should cover one full 80cf tank. DO NOT buy it online unless you are buying a used one from somewhere local imo. Also do not buy anything over 80cf period. Unless you are going to rent tanks just buy 80cf tanks. That 600-1000 should easily cover one full tank and all the basics along with the pedal on amazon so long as you get the welder on sale like I did. Even it’s full price isn’t bad considering other imported brands run 700-1000 range for good 225-250 amp tig welder. Hope this helps I wish I could offer more insight. Well one last thing. YouTube videos are pretty good for this welder. I spent about 16-20 hours total over two weeks reading and videos to determine I wanted this brand and this certain tig welder. ... show more

  • Very easy to use
Style: TIG-200P ACDC Aluminum Welder
If you need to weld aluminum, get this!!!! I am self taught on welding, and previously purchased a dc tig welder. Found out that was wrong for thin aluminum. This was reasonably priced and works great with the stock settings. I am sure my welds would even be better with some fine tuning adjustments, which this machine offers. I would recommend this. ... show more

  • Works just fine for the money.
I received the YESWELDER TIG-250P a couple weeks ago, set it up and started using all the features to make sure everything worked. When I used the Tig torch in the 4T setting it started to have issues. When you pushed the button on the torch to start the weld then pushed the button again to stop the weld it would not turn off and would sit there trying to weld and it kept the gas flow continually purging. The only way to make it stop was to turn the machine off. After waiting several minutes and turning the machine back on it would go right back to trying to weld and purging gas and could not be stopped by pushing the button on the troch, I had to turn the power off again in order for it to stop. I contacted Amazon support and after they tried contacting the seller several times with no response Amazon support tried to have me troubleshoot the machine and all of the suggested fixes did not work. I was eventually able to get them to send me a replacement welder. The replacement welder arrived last week and I again set it up and went through all the features which all worked flawlessly. I really like the fact that the fan only turns on after 2-3minutes of continuous use and is not extremely loud. The data plate says it has a 100% duty cycle on 220v and I haven't been able to get the machine to shut down from thermal overload after welding on the highest amperage setting for several minutes continually. I have Tig welded mild steel up to 1/4" with it and Tig welded Aluminum up to 1/4" with it both with pulse and no pulse with no interruptions. The only issue I have had is when I tried to hook up a YESWELDER foot pedal to vary the amperage. It will turn the weld on and off but does not vary the amperage. I contacted YESWELDER customer support via cell phone which directed me to email them as they do not have a call center, they only respond via email :-(. It was very difficult to explain in a way that they could comprehend what my issue was due too them not having good knowledge of the English language. After some broken English responses I was able to gather that this YESWELDER TIG-250P machine does not have the ability to vary the amperage with the foot pedal as their is no remote setting that is needed for their foot pedal or any variable amperage foot pedal to work with this machine. They offered a refund for the foot pedal if I returned it but I decided to keep it. Even though it will not vary the amperage I can still use it to turn the torch on and off with. Conclusion: The welder works. Its a cheaply produced poorly constructed low end welder so don't kid yourself if you think you are getting as solid well built multiprocess inverter welder that can weld aluminum for under $1000.00 and have it be a quality long lasting machine. Its not. Its a built down to a price point, barely good enough not to blow up for after a few 100hrs of use, slapped together with cheap components welder that is only worth the price you paid for it no more. I recommend purchasing an insurance plan that extends the warranty out to 3 years from Amazon as you will most definitely need it if you plan on doing a lot of welding with it. But if you are like me and have maybe a couple projects a year that you need to do a little welding on then its great for the price just don't try to weld up an entire 24' boat made with 1/4' sheet aluminum with it. ... show more

Style: TIG-205P Pulsed TIG Welder
New to tig welding, worked like a champ out of the box, a week in and still working fine….some things you’ll need that don’t come with it) tungsten electrodes, tank of argon, regulator for bottle, gloves, helmet, filler rod, maybe a foot switch……mine came with welder leads for tig and stick, 3 cup sizes and ferrules for 3 different size tungsten, a hose but no regulator…….the welder itself is clean and solid, has good features for noobs like pulse tig, decent pre/post gas flow, all around great inexpensive welder, this model does not do aluminum, you’ll need an ac machine for that ... show more
