  • Great for price and first time tig welder
The media could not be loaded. TLDR I have zero experience with tig welding but this machine seems to work well for me. I am just a dude in the garage working on his junk trying not to spend a fortune on tools. I am confident I will be able to weld up a stainless exhaust on my car with more practice. That and I wanted a way to weld up any cracks that may form in my stainless turbo header. long version I cannot not give a proper review because that was my first time using it and the only tig welder I have ever touched. That and my extent of tig knowledge is a few hours of youtube tutorials. The HF start made arc initiation easy. I did not want to deal with scratch or lift start for my first tig experience. It lit every time I hit the button. The arc seemed stable with no popping or crackling. Welding pipe probably was not a good starting medium. I was having trouble keeping the proper torch angle. With proper angle it did seem to be very easy to control the puddle for a first timer like me. The foot pedal is just for on/off and no amp control. Honestly that is a downside but could not pass up the price. It was under 200 bucks from due to 85 dollars off right now and there is a mod to be able to wire in a variable amp pedal I may do. I am pretty happy with my first attempt but need more practice. I feel my technique is holding me back more so than this welder at this point. I am confident it will do a much better job than my flux mig welder. Honestly the flux mig is a nightmare to use compared to this. ... show more

  • Functional, Cost Effective, Light, and Capable
I'm not sure how you beat this deal for the hobbyist/home welder. Everything was packaged well with no discernable assembly issues or damage in shipping. All connections were clean and fit perfectly. The gas connections are compression ball type and I had no leaks after proper tightening. Pictured is the first TIG weld out of the box after about 30 minutes of unboxing and setup (1/8" steel, 90A, 110V, 15CFH, 3/32 2% thoriated (red) tungsten, no filler). Not my best effort but I wanted to give it a quick operational test. I was a little apprehensive about the HF start as I am used to our more advanced Miller welders at work with variable foot pedal control. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and controllable the start was with this. Operationally, the only gripe I have is the amperage control could be a little more responsive. It works perfectly fine but reaction time is slow so I find I over-shoot the desired setting by moving the knob too quickly. Materially, I can see needing to upgrade the gas hose and ground clamp at some point, but they are perfectly serviceable out of the box and of adequate length. The only way I see this being a better deal is if it came with a regulator and an assortment of tungsten to make it a RTW kit. That said, I purchased the following to complete the kit and enhance it a bit: YesWelder® Flow Meter Gas Regulator for Argon/CO2 Welding 2% Thoriated Tungsten Electrode (Red,WT20) | YesWelder® TIG Welding Electrode (3/32) 22PCS TIG Welding Torch Stubby Gas Lens #10 Pyrex Glass Cup Kit For WP-17/18/26 - (optional - the included cups will work just fine) Time will tell but for my intended use case, occasional repairs and light fabrication, I think this was an excellent choice. ... show more

  • Tig for all in under $600
The machine is really good for beginners or simple automotive work. Sure there is better machines In the $700-900 range, but if your just getting started I would buy this to really learn if tig is something you want to sink a bunch of money into, tigs expensive. The machine has an on/off pedal, HF start, a decent gas line, and amps read pretty accurate, ground clamp is sturdy. I hate the torch that comes with this machine but the hose is a standard 150a for a #17 so very easy to change out (which I did for about 40$) it runs good on 110v and great on the full 220v… this thing is bare bones but it works and works well. It holds a good arc and really it’s only drawback is it has no features. But for the price it can’t. It’s well built, has good internal components. If you not new or have 1000 bucks laying around I’d get a prime or Eastwood, or something a little more feature heavy, but all In all, I’m impressed with this machine. It gets the job done. I saw a ton of people asking about changing the torch in the questions section, yes you can and it’s very easy. Any welding shop or supplier will have torches that fit this machine. Also yeswelder if you read this: get rid of that giant plastic torch and please just put a normal torch with zip tie finger switch on. That torch that comes on the machine feels like a nerf gun. ... show more

  • Very easy to use
Style: TIG-200P ACDC Aluminum Welder
If you need to weld aluminum, get this!!!! I am self taught on welding, and previously purchased a dc tig welder. Found out that was wrong for thin aluminum. This was reasonably priced and works great with the stock settings. I am sure my welds would even be better with some fine tuning adjustments, which this machine offers. I would recommend this. ... show more

  • Great beginner machine
Style: TIG-200P ACDC Aluminum Welder
This is my first experience welding. I got this machine because it is one of the cheapest welders that can do AC for aluminum. I did have an issue at first with the HF start not working. Support walked me through the process of adjusting the spark gap and it works great now. I'm not sure why it's not included in the manual, but the spark gap should be 0.8mm. Support was very responsive from YesWelder, and they speak fluent English! One minor annoyance is that the machine will not save the AC/DC setting. Every time I turn it on it is in AC mode and I have to remember to switch back to DC. ... show more

  • Don't buy please, it isn't worth your time
Style: TIG-200P ACDC Aluminum Welder
Out of the box AC was not working properly. DC worked but something wasn't right. None of the settings seemed to help, still was inconsistent and did what it wanted. Takes over a month to return back to Kentucky USA. and still haven't got my refund yet.

  • Works as it should
Style: TIG-205P Pulsed TIG Welder
Definitely worth the price not disappointed with the performance at all I’ve welded with professional Miller Tig welders in my past for work. For a hobby grade welder it works perfectly not sure of the duty cycle but for my applications it is more than adequate.
