  • Helpful for irritated scalp and/or removing buildup. Makes hair soft and clean
I really like this product. I’ve tried a few “scalp scrubs” and this might be my favorite. Some people mention how these can be difficult to work into your hair and get the product distributed onto your actual scalp. I eliminate that issue by combining it (mix them together in my hand) with a co wash (cleansing conditioner) or a mild regular conditioner and work it in with a scalp brush. I never wash my hair without a scalp brush anymore even when I’m not using this scrub and I think it helps get any product to the root much better than hands/fingertips, but that’s for a different review. I use this YesTo scrub because I have become dandruff and itchy scalp prone in the last year due to different medications. I feel it eliminates that issue when used about twice a week. My hair and scalp feel soft and clean from my regimen including this product, and thats all I ever want. This is affordable and works well. Get it if you’re in the market for a product like this. ... show more

  • Works but scrub well!
My scalp had been getting sores and getting flakey. This product definitely gave it the deep clean it needed. It is odd because it sort of feels like gravel gel. It also takes 2 good shampoos after to fully remove all of it. However, my scalp is much happier now! Just know to be thorough. I also bought the scrubber and it feels really good on my scalp. ... show more

  • Miracle Product - Life Saver
I never write reviews. I've never used a product that I felt warranted a great review, until this product. I have struggled with what I thought was dandruff for years. No matter how many anti dandruff shampoos I used, it made no difference. I had started to accept that I would have this for life. One of my friends recommended I try scalp exfoliation to see if that would help. This is the first product I've tried and I have only used it one time. ONE TIME. My scalp feels so clean and I have absolutely no little specs and flakes anymore. After one use, this has completely eradicated all of the build up and junk on my scalp. My hair is also the softest it has been in my adult life, and looks fantastic. I even cried a little because I have been dealing with the "dandruff" for years with no relief. This product smells good, it is easy to use, and is 100% effective (at least for me). It did make my hair feel a bit dry after I used it so just make sure to use a decent shampoo and conditioner. I will buy this for the rest of my life. If you are struggling and are looking to try something, buy this. Seriously, what are you waiting for? ... show more

  • It’s ok for the purpose.
Con: It smells weird, Pro: smell does not stay in your scalp. Feel: it’s a soft sandy consistency (like rubbing salt under water) that dissolves after you rub it in your head, it refreshes your scalp from a minty feeling. I have a dandruff and this helped temporarily but after a weeks worth of use. It stopped working for me. I followed the instructions on the bottle and still. I would recommend for a quick fix especially those with short hair. I have long hair. Oh and I even used it with a scalp master brush. Honestly, the scalp master brush worked better with the use of my dandruff shampoos. ... show more

  • No more flakes! No more scalp nonsense!
I used to believe if flakes came out while scratching your head that it was a completely normal thing and there was nothing that could actually be done. I used to think people never scratch their head in public because they would actually have flakes come out of their hair. Ever since I've started using this shampoo I have not been able to cause flakes to come out of my hair when scratching my head. My scalp feels amazing and no longer collects any dead skin longer than a couple of days a fort night because of the shampoo. It's also good for the beard. It's best to use a scalp scrubber, one with rubber bristles, to ensure a thorough scrubbing. To apply I put about 2 tablespoons in my hand and just with finger tips collect a little bit and go underneath my hair and try to paint my scalp entirely before scrubbing. I have very long hair so I can't just apply it to the top of my head and hope to get my scalp. I have to spread it around underneath the hair to ensure a good coat. It's not a bad idea to just let a little spritz of water from the shower head to graze your hair to give the shampoo some better mobility, just don't do more than a half a second spritz. To get it out it's easier to just add shampoo afterwards and wash them both out. Then of course use conditioner. Don't scrub too hard or too long your first time. 4 minutes is enough. It works amazing. I let my mom's salon use it for my mom's hair and now they are buying it for the salon. ... show more

  • Seborrheic Dermatitis & Lupus affect my scalp/hair
I have Seborrheic Dermatitis & Lupus that affect my scalp/hair. I get itchy bumps, some dandruff, and my hair falls out. I am on medication, a prescription shampoo, and I see a dermatologist. I also no longer use conditioner, and have had to change all of my skin care & bathing products. With that said, everyone is different in regards to what works. So for me, having most of it cleared on my face, and my hair loss is more stable, I was looking for a scalp scrub to hopefully get rid of some of the bumps and dandruff, or at least make it more manageable. I just used the product a few hours ago and have only used it once. So far, my scalp and my hair feels great. I used the scrub, rinsed, and then used my prescription shampoo. My hair felt extremely clean, but almost dry and brittle while washing. I was feeling disappointed that this was going to damage my skin/hair further. I let it air dry and now it feels amazing. I have less bumps and hopefully it will stay that way or at least be more manageable like I said. My hair feels clean & soft. My scalp feels a little irritated (but I was expecting that, for me anyway), but it still feels good & clean. I am planning to use this once a week and we'll see how things go. I recommend trying it. I did see other reviews about how it is hard to rinse out so what I did was I put it on and rinsed it in the tub water. Then i used my shampoo in the shower. It rinsed out fine. I would say I have fine to medium thickness hair, but I have a lot of it (Thank God!), and it is a medium-long length. ... show more
