I needed at least 8 to 10 feet of cable to run inside the wall to hide them and flexible enough to slid in and out the covers I had on the wall to use.     • Hooray!!! My Prime Video issue is solved!

For about a year now, I have been limited as to how I watch my Amazon Prime videos. Prime Video has always worked great on my Vizio and Hisense TV's, it's worked great on my OnePlus phones, it's even worked great on my cheap $120 Android tablet...but, then, there's my DELL G5 gaming laptop. Now, don't get me wrong. Prime Video works fine on the laptop as long as I play it through a browser or use the Windows app. But, hook an HDMI cable up to it and try to export Prime Video to an external source like a TV? NOT HAPPENING. Hulu worked with HDMI just fine. Disney+ worked with HDMI just fine. Paramount worked with HDMI just fine. My STEAM games worked with HDMI just fine... So, why, then would I get nothing but a black screen with Prime's menus, yet no video picture? I read multiple forums, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, I tried changing the display settings on the laptop, I switched cables, I tried different TV's...nothing worked. And, I was completely frustrated. Taking one last shot out of pure desperation, I ordered this 8k cable and hooked it up. Try and imagine the complete joy, the utter jubilation, the tears of joy forming in my eyes...when I looked up at the TV screen, and there, my friends, was a moving picture!!! I can only assume that this new cable was designed for more bandwidth (or higher data rate) than my others? Maybe it was just as simple as my HDMI cables not being up to 4K standards...It has to be that. Well? Whatever the case may be, this was a cheap $10 fix that has made me a happier man. 5 stars for that alone. ... show more

I turned on the entertainment center today and the picture on the tv was a mess. Blurry, compacted picture, dark, frustrating coming from a 2 1/2 month old tv. Nearly an hour into the tv manual amid various adjustments I made to the picture I was making no headway, thinking about that tv warranty and all the hassle I was in for when I just turned it all off and sat there in the quiet. It came to me that the one thing in common throughout this was the hdmi cable. I switched back to hdmi cord I had replaced already with this “special 8k blah blah” cable. Of course the new (old) hdmi cord solved ALL the issues. Just because it’s thick as your little finger doesn’t make it better than one 1/3 the diameter without the bells and whistles. ... show more
