  • My favorite gardening tool
This tool is so handy in terms of raking up leaves and other detritus from around plants, in tricky places and everywhere in vegetable & flower beds. Very flexible yet sturdy, with just the right steel springiness that doesn't harm installed plants but gets the dead stuff out.

  • Great for removing moss from trees
I purchased this thing with the hope the handle would fit inside an old 12 foot pool pole so I could reach the abundance of moss hanging from my oak trees. Guess what? It worked. The handle fits. I can now extend it and pull down the moss. Seems to be fairly well made for the price with real spring steel in the tines. ... show more

  • You won't find a better hand rake for fine garden work
My husband bought this rake about 20 years ago, and I have been coveting it, and trying to find a second one locally since then, in case I ever lose the original. I am a professional horticulturist and this tool is invaluable in cleaning up the small spaces in between plants in perennial beds. No other rake I have used has the flexibility and strength that is has to do the work, without pulling plants out of the ground. The tines are too stiff on all of the others that I have tried over the years. I was so excited when I finally matched the tool I used with photos on line and tracked down the company that sells it, as it has no markings on the tool itself. I am VERY particular about the tools I use and this is on my list of my top 5 favorites. ... show more

  • slightly disapointed
I bought similar tool, just slightly smaller in dollar store some year ago. I loved that tool and found many uses for it while gardening. When I saw this tool, I realized, I could have back-up for my original $1 piece. The tool I received is OK, but I would say it's not worth the money. It's larger then my $1 tool, much heavier and the rake is attached to handle very cheap way - by some wrap around the handle. Once the wrap goes, the rake goes too. Too late now. I just wish I find the "original tool" in dollar store again. Then I'll buy few of them. ... show more

  • Arrived Bent In A Box Inside Another 40 In Excessively Packaged Box
As Consumers it's our responsibility to put an end to obnoxiously excessive shipping packaging that is designed to avoid the slightest possibility of the need for returns, therefore creating unwanted hassle for the distributor. This item arrived in an Amazon box that was 40 inches long by 8 by 9. The handrake itself was obviously sent to their warehouse pre-boxed, using a sealed and labeled high quality Uline cardboard box measuring 24 x 6 x 6, which is PLENTY big to make it through the postal system unscathed. Between the two there was about 12 feet of brown packing paper as well. Opening the manufacturer's box I found that one of the tines was bent out of place and could not be leveled no matter where I focused the pressure in attempt at realigning. This will not affect its functioning thanks to the 'floating' feature-which is what made me choose this model over many others. A Far more fragile item shipped the same day in a bubble padded envelope that was just fine, so seeing my intentionally Sturdy Metal Tool show up with a handling flaw made the ridiculous pile of waste in front of me far more enraging. As someone who does not drive I very much relate to the want/need/desire for online shopping but we have GOT to put an end to the massive amount of waste we the consumers are responsible for!! Because this item shipped to Amazon pre-boxed, it is just plain stupid that they would send it out in a box the length of a full sized rake when they aren't even bothering to quality check to begin with. Also, as a 'handtool' this product is quite large and will not do well for delicate detailing jobs around the garden. My intention is to grab up wet and bug-buried leaves so it's just what I needed, though I'll still be looking for something much smaller...locally. ... show more

  • Excellent and very functional tool
Excellent tool, I love it so much. It is flexible enough to just grab dried leaves and also sturdy so can be used for a rough surface.

  • This thing is soft. Almost no rigidity in the tines.
Item is well made but so poorly designed. The whole thing except the handle is too floppy to do any real raking. I wanted it to rake between the rows of the garden after cutting weeds (purslane). But the tines are too springy/floppy to be any good at all. It would work for very delicate raking but possibly not even that. The tines have a 90 degree bend at the end where something greater would have offset the floppiness. And, really, it's too long for a hand tool. Too much weight forward is tiring for the wrist. Keeping because it's too much trouble to send it back. ... show more

  • The rake is very large
I bought it for use in flower bed around small plants … the rake is very large and couldn’t fit between or under smaller plants. Returned but well made!
