I was very impressed when I received this guitar and began to play it. It is comfortable to hold, has a nice sound and it is really impressive looking. I would recommend this guitar to anyone who needs a quality instrument without breaking the bank. Just get it, you won’t be disappointed!!

Received this guitar about 3 weeks ago. I did not believe all of the positive reviews about this guitar. Most important to realize is that this guitar cannot be found to "try out" in any store that I know of in my area. This guitar far exceeded my expectations. I am but a novice player but I have literally been unable to put this guitar down. Unfortunately, due to a minor electrical problem I had to return an am in the process of re-ordering. Due to the fairly hefty price tag I felt I deserve a perfectly operating guitar out of the box and Amazon Customer service/buyer has been a pleasure to deal with thus far. This guitar is probably way better than I will ever be able to play and I see that there are "professionals" out their that use this guitar for gigs because it plays like a several grand model for half to a third of the price. I believe it based on my experience with it thus far. ... show more

There's nothing I don't like about this A3M guitar. I received it 12 hours ago, and I must have played 5-6 hours....I just can't put it down! The look, the feel, the sound....all of it. I have been guitar hunting for a while, and I'd set my mind on getting a Yamaha. If I could avoid spending too much money, I would, so I ordered 3 different guitars: a FGC-TA ...it arrived with terrible fret buzz and I returned it. Then I got the popular FGX830C....It arrived in a completely destroyed box with the guitar covered in dust. I tried it and really liked it. The 830 offers great value, and it IS a good guitar. BUT! Today the A3M arrived....and boy oh boy !!! Ok. So, the A3M comes with a bag and costs $ 1000. The 830 is about $ 550 but then you have to pay $ 150 for a case; so figure $ 700. Is the A3M worth the extra $ 300? Oh yes - you better believe it is. I would say it is worth A LOT more than that. Normally my fingers would be hurting like H... after playing acoustic for 5-6 hours...but they are not hurting at all! The rolled edges and the butter-smooth feeling of the A3M strings and fretboard....I am blown away (can you tell?). Yamaha...thank you for making such a guitar available at such an attractive price point....this guitar easily competes with guitars costing 2-3 times more. I had really hoped to spend a little less money, but now that I got it....totally worth it. This guitar is gonna stay with me. April 11th UPDATE: Plugged the guitar into my Boss Katana 100 Artist amp yesterday evening......no sound. This is a sad day. Witing for Yamaha to respond. I may have to return this one. ... show more

After a lot of research and and reading a lot a reviews my Wife decided to surprise me and ordered this guitar online. What can I say she loves me and wanted to surprise me. We got a box that looked like it had been kicked around by Godzilla. The guitar itself was not damaged but brings me to my point. I'm so dissapointed with this it's not funny. It buzzes on so many notes it will drive anyone crazy. Now my wife ordered it online. I know not what I would do but bless her heart she tried. I've been playing for 30 years and know it will take a lot of work to set it up and get it to sound half decent. Don't buy one of these online without playing it. Now I'm stuck with a 800 dollar buzz box and a sad wife. Thanks. ... show more

So far excellent. Excited to get my new toy. Delivery by Amazon and box was in good shape. It comes in a very sturdy soft case with good padding. Would have liked to seen extra padding between the box and neck, but that's just me being a little risk focused. Tuned up quickly as the strings were slightly loose for storage. Initial sound seems very deep with lots of resonance. Haven't plugged it in yet to test the electronics. Stay tuned for more feedback :) ... show more
