    • Very nice. You do need to drill a pilot hole though.
Works great, perfect tap. Make sure you drill a pilot hole of the correct size. I thought these would do the whole thing for me but they had absolutely no purchase on the aluminum bar I was working with. With a pilot hole though, it worked amazing and the screw fit very well.

I really like spiral taps for most threading applications better than standard taps. But they really only work well on thru holes, no blind holes.

    • great for plastic and aluminum
I used these for tapping aluminum collets. They are not as brittle as carbide straight flute taps, which I tend to break. I wish there were smaller sizes in the mix, and I do not think the threads are as tight as they could be.

I use them for drilling and taping through aluminum mild steel and plastics. Very good product for a serious RC model hobbiest.

Wow great product. I bought these after one of the taps from a set I bought broke almost immediately trying to tap a hole in a small knob for an instrument. This however was very quick and easy to use. Great value!!
