First, I feel like I should review this product because I was a little apprehensive when ordering. There were many good reviews, but also quite a few that didn't like the quality or had shipping issues. So, I was relieved when mine arrived with only minimal damage to the packaging. Since the desk was protected by additional layers inside the box, there was no damage to any parts. Assembly was easy. It took about 1.5 hours and I did it myself other than my husband helping me assemble to the desktop onto the base and adjust the height. The parts, tools (other than a Phillips screwdriver) were included, and the instructions are easy to follow. The instruction book was put together a little strange where I had to flip back and forth for the next page to be facing the right direction. Maybe this was just my booklet, but it wasn't a big deal. Once everything was put together, I was so happy that there was no damage to any of the desk components. There were a few places where I could see where the metal was welded together, but very minor and it doesn't affect the functionability, so it's not an issue. This will be a multi-purpose desk for me, however I know I will use it a lot for diamond painting. Being able to angle the desktop will be great for this purpose. I added an attached led magnifying light (not included) to lessen the need for a light board or glasses. The drawers are pretty sturdy for fabric and the inserts are sturdy enough for their purpose. I was able to adjust the desk for my legs to go under without hitting and the top height is still ergonomically while sitting on the stool. I like that this desk can even be adjusted for standing. The stool is sturdy and comfortable, although I haven't sat on it for long periods yet. The only thing I wish were different is that the sliding surface would slide all the way under the top to save space when not in use. Not a deal breaker though. I was able to put the desk together myself in 2 hours with no assistance. You will need a Phillips screwdriver along with the tools supplied. Be aware that the finished desk is quite heavy and awkward to move up steps, so you will want to put it together very near the space in which you will be using it. I assembled the bottom first, placed it in its space, and then built the upper portion. Taking it up to my workspace was a struggle! Bad planning on my part! Everything was numbered correctly, all necessary parts were accounted for, holes lined up perfectly and the illustrations were fairly easy to follow, except the last step…….I’m still not clear where those screws are to fit in the final product!😳 Only complaint is that the drawers are too large and really don’t fit correctly without forcing them into their spaces……so not a smooth pull in or out motion……that’s a little disappointing. Otherwise, the finished product looks great and I believe should provide a great workspace! ... show more

I got this as an early Father’s Day gift for my husband as he wants to get back into drawing. I wanted to encourage his hobbies and passion so I took to Amazon to find an art desk for him to sit at. I came across this one and despite some negative reviews I decided to give it a go. This desk was easy to assemble, feels sturdy, is easy to adjust, and is the perfect size! The only slight down side was that is was missing a couple predrilled holes but that was an easy fix since the material is easy to drill into. When fedex delivery was delayed , I was little worried, outside box is little broken, but inside the big box, all the parts packaged well, and it took 2 people assemble in 1 hour, not complicated at all, every parts organized clearly. This desk works perfect for my diamond art. It fits perfectly with my chair. The holes lined up perfectly with the help of a friend. It's very sturdy in the way of when it is up. It came with all the parts in the box and took only a couple hours to put together by myself with only a little help. This drafting table is great quality and looks exactly like the photo. Upon opening, I noticed there was a small scratch on the worktop surface. Because it was cosmetic, I didn't get too bent out of shape. Overall, no qualms with the look and materials. My issue is that the directions are absolutely horrendous. Everything was going smoothly until all the metal bars needed to connect together for the underside of the desktop. It was impossible to see what went where and I ended up attaching the top wrong, causing it to fall and break off the hinges. I'm now going to have to buy wood glue to patch the holes and refit the screws so I can attach it properly. I didn't deduct any stars because it was user error and I was assembling it alone -- but be warned, you'll definitely need two people so no parts fall off when you inevitably can't figure out how to put it together. Other than that, the pieces I was able to get together are study and it's a very nice looking drafting table/desk. I'm just bummed I busted it before even getting to use it. ... show more
