Set pump up tonight and was working great. Bought so I could have enough power for pool vaccum. When I unhooked vaccum, I shut everything down so I could clean the strainer basket. Put everything back together so I could backwash. However now I can't get power to the timer to be able to turn unit on. I replaced the battery thinking maybe it was bad. When I put the new battery in everything lights up and goes off. Still won't let me turn on the pump. I know that it has power as I tested to make sure it was getting juice. Could that inline fuse need replaced already? I honestly just got it. Right now I am so disappointed with the unit. At first I was amazed. I hope that I can get some assistance on this quickly. Would hate to have to return as I just filled it with new sand. Update, it was a small issue. Company worked with me right away to get resolved. Email is quickest way to contact as they are busy. I have ordered 2 of these pumps. The first pump lasted 1 season. The motor went in it. We winterize properly. It did not work when the next season came. So I contacted the company and the motor was more then the entire set up. The second pump I purchased may 23 2023. I hooked it up ran for a couple days and now nothing. I read all the reviews ..of trouble shooting. My green light on power cord is on like many people state here. My lights are off at pump. I changed the fuse. Lights came on but once I hit the power everything stopped again. It seems these pumps all of them not just a lemon here or there...have the same issue. People looking to purchase this pump plz read the reviews. I see many posting how good it works. It works amazing when it works. However Noone wants to purchase a new pump every couple months. I am curious if the other reviews raving about this pump ended up with same issues as I see here. The company does not seem to respond to any of the reviews with the same Complaints. I am not sure what to do now. I did see the price came way down on them. So maybe they realize the pumps are crappie. ... show more

    • It won’t work right if you don’t maintain your equipment.

Just like everything else you own, if you don’t maintain it it’ll break down on you. This is my third season using this pump filter combo with an Intex salt water chlorinator. Overall no complaints other than what I consider normal maintenance. A couple things I had to fix are replacement of the glass fuse a few times, and replaced the gfi plug both sources from my big box hardware store, and the sand filter pressure gauge. Every winter I drain the pool below the skimmer, unhook the hoses, drain the pump from the screw on the back, spray the impeller with wd-40 through the hole under the skimmer basket and store it in my garage. When hooking it up I set up everything without hooking up the hoses and plug it in and run fresh water through it and run the pump a few seconds to make sure it turns properly. ... show more

Instructions are a little much if you’ve never put one together. Maybe could have put a couple of pictures to help out. Luckily I’m a little mechanical so I was able to figure out what it was talking about. Once I hooked it up to pool she just ran and ran good. This is the 2nd day with it so time will tell how good it works. I will come back and update if problems occur. Set up of the timer was pretty simple. I like that it lights up on the actual time it’s gonna run when on. All in all, I think it was a good money investment seems to run my 3500 gallon pool pretty easily. Lid to pump came broken, returned it. Since was told can't buy them separately. Then got the new pump and the lid to that one was quickly cracked. It is cheap flimsy plastic. Then I saw the upgraded lid for sale and bought it. Now everything works great. Why they just don't give you the quality lid first I don't know. But they got and extra $20 out of me and I guess that's the point. But would have given this pump 5 starts if not for the lid issue. Everything else works great ... show more

I recently purchased a pool pump and filter system with high hopes of keeping my pool crystal clear and pristine throughout the swimming season. Unfortunately, my experience with this product has been quite disappointing. Upon arrival, I discovered that the unit had a broken piece, rendering it unusable. However, to their credit, the seller promptly replaced the broken piece with a whole new unit. Initially, I was impressed by their responsiveness and commitment to customer satisfaction. However, my optimism quickly faded when the replacement unit ceased to function after just three weeks of use. Despite my best efforts to troubleshoot and resolve the issue, the pump and filter simply refused to work properly. This sudden failure left me frustrated and disheartened, especially considering the time and money invested in the product. While it's true that this pump and filter system comes at a relatively affordable price point, it's clear that quality and durability were sacrificed in the pursuit of cost-effectiveness. As the saying goes, "you get what you pay for," and in this case, the adage rings true. I would caution potential buyers against wasting their time and resources on this product, as it ultimately failed to deliver on its promises. Read the reviews and trust when it says the fuses go out. We even tried to repair the unit by replacing the fuse and it blew right away. Then to make it worse, the only way to get a refund was to dump the 100 pounds of sand out of the filter and pack the entire unit up and send it back to Amazon. Mind you, the orginial packaging was tossed out when the unit was set up. It was a very frustrating experience. ... show more
