Once we figured out how to use it, we love it! We had trouble with how to rinse and backwash. We did not realize you had to open up the remaining port to allow the water to come out with all the junk. Never had one before so we just didn't know. Now that we do, it keeps our pool sparkling clean!

straight out of the box, the pump did not work. customer support told me to check the fuse and battery. the fuse was blown. why ship your product with a blown fuse?!?!?!?!? i tried six places before i found the right fuse. it is working well now... but really?!?!? why send something that you know isn't working. so, to follow up further. it took a couple days to get the original one working. in the meantime they sent me a replacement for the original at no charge. it works. the whole pump and filter combo is perfect for my application. 1000 gallon stock tank used as a pool.

I used it for two months, worked great. Stored it in my garage, hooked it up next season and the buttons to change the timer and power on/off had quit working. Contacted seller and they said there's no way to fix the circuit board and there's no warranty. It was set to run 8 hours a day and was still turning on and off by itself so I let it go. Now it quit turning on at all, took it apart again and the capacitor cracked open. It says extremepowerUS but everything inside and out says China. Don't waste your money. Update: bought and installed a new capacitor, jumped across the start switch on the circuit board to get the pump started and it ran fine for about an hour then shut off. Jumped it again, same thing. Now nothing. This thing is trash

I bought this to replace my standard above ground pool pump. This thing shoots water and has a tremendous amount of pressure coming out that makes my pool water really move. It’s super quiet. Performs great. Easy to install. All around a great upgrade.

-First of all, assembly is super easy! -order yourself some ball valve adapters if your pool hoses don't have them built in. -filter capability is awesome, took our pool from cloudy to clear in less than 12 hours. We struggled with factory equipped pool filters, changing them every two to three days, this eliminated that. -flow out of the pump is more than enough to run a waterfall if you want. •CONS• -There is no valves on the inlets and outlets, I suggest some ball valve adapters so you can do your backwash and rinse more effectively. -order up at least 12 foot hoses, as NO hoses are supplied. -If you're installing this on a above ground pool set up in a grass yard, I'd suggest a platform to keep grass from getting near the motor.

This pump is great! HOWEVER, the instructions on how to put it together were AWFUL! Fortunately I found a video that helped! The instructions really need to be documented better! I’m very happy with my purchase. The pump is working great!

This has been in for a couple days now and seems to be operating just fine. No leaks. What I like: It’s much quieter than I expected. It’s got decent power and seems to turn over the water efficiently. The timer is easy to use What I don’t like: THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE ABSOLUTE TRASH. The base plate is…I’m not even 100% sure it’s for this model but the pre-drilled holes didn’t exactly match up to the bolt pattern on the bottom of the pump. I did find one set that was close. Did I mention the instructions were a hot steaming pile of doo-doo? It tells you not to use any hose smaller than 40mm but the pump to filter interconnect hose is 1.25”. And the fittings give you the option for 1.25 or 1.50. Hoses with a threaded collar don’t work. I suppose either would work. It didn’t collapse my old 1.25 hose…yet. I’m taking off two stars just because the instructions are just SO bad.

So far its been pretty good. Had a few issues. First is lack of decent instructions. Second the selector for filter, drain, backwash on the sand filter one of the fitings leaked and wouldnt stop. The second was water had gotten in the timer box. Issues happened about amonth apart. Both issues were resolved easily. Contacted them through here and they shipped out new parts. Sent in a couple pics of the issues and they sent them customer service was great. Everything seems to be working like it should now. For a low price kit such as this its worth it. Will update at the 6 month mark.
