Has everything needed to get started. The “book” (flyer) isn’t very helpful but there’s some great YouTube videos available. The yarn the best but for the price, tools, yarn etc definitely worth the price.

Pros: yarn is soft and comes with everything you will need to get started. I doubled up the yarn to make the bear see attached. (This was my first project so be kind) Cons: my bag ripped/frayed right away and I’ve only had it one month and it’s not usable. The yarn is too thin and doesn’t include hook recommended size on label. If you want to get into crochet I would buy this because it’s a good value and if you don’t like crocheting then you’re not investing a lot into something. ... show more

I need a hobby sleeping all day and watching Netflix when I'm not working is getting out of hand! I bought this kit not expecting much due to the price but I figured it was worth it to see if it's something I would enjoy. The "book" is more of a pamphlet with some confusing instructions. I prefer to learn via YouTube anyway so not a big deal. The kit has literally anything I need to learn. I had some trouble at first but then got the hang of it and I think if the yarn was thicker it would be much easier for a beginner. I was able to learn the absolute basics within an hour and by hour two I was able to do a second row. Overall it is definitely worth the money and I'm very pleased with this purchase. ... show more

I got this in hopes of teaching myself how to crochet with what was provided, and I'm having nothing but problems. First off, in spite of its claims that the fabric doesn't fork, the pink yarn for the hedgehog absolutely does, and it does so badly. Secondly, the green, black, and white yarn that is included is not at all beginner friendly--it's slick and slides very easily off of the hook. The manuals and user guides are, effectively, useless. These are meant for someone who already knows how to do these things. This is very good if you're someone who's already experienced with reading patterns and how to do basic stitches. It does not educate users on different hook sizes or which hook goes with which yarn (to save you the headache, the blue hook is meant for everything but the pink yarn, which requires the orange. Do not bother using the orange hook for anything BUT the pink yarn), it does not specify the materials the yarn is made of ANYWHERE. Not at all something I'd recommend if you're a true beginner who has no idea what you're doing, and honestly I'm not even sure it's worth the cost of the materials. Which is very sad, I was looking forward to making a frog but that's going to have to be put off for quite a while until I teach myself how to do this because this set is useless in teaching you. ... show more
