I have made lots of hats by hand....it sucks. At first its not too bad but sure gets old. I 3d printed one of the drill adapters and its just not what you should use at all. This thing is the answer. Very easy to mount and has enough weight to help hold the knitting machine. I did see some reviews about the 3rd screw and they didn't understand what it did, but it clearly shows you in the instructions its an addition brace. It has pictures. The variable speed is a really nice feature, along with the reverse. It has enough power to handle the yarn and does not bind up. No negatives to report with making 10+ hats with it non stop. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I suspect this would work better on a brand new machine. My machine is old and the crank was askew already. If I clamp it down all the way it does bind the crank. But once again. My crank is not square to the machine. Easy to assemble. Easy to use. Super convenient.
