This kit certainly is not easy and requires a lot of patience, but, between the instruction booklet and video tutorials I was able to piece everything together decently. This is a cute kit and does provide you everything you'll need. However, the yarn splits so easily and it makes it hard when trying to insert the yarn into the eye of the needle when you need to weave and it also splits or separates while trying to work the stitches. I don't know if I'd recommend this kit to a beginner just for the yarn splitting. The scissors are interesting. I have to angle them just right for them to even cut. ... show more

I was almost a complete beginner to crochet when I got this kit. It's been a really fun way to learn. The kit includes almost everything needed to finish the project. The only thing not included is the blusher to add color to the cheeks and leaves. I ended up using a powdery lipstick, which worked well. The instructions are pretty good, but not written by a native English speaker, so occasionally rough to follow. I had to watch some YouTube videos to figure out some steps. I am often complimented on my patience, but if you saw me as I tried (multiple times) to simply get one of these projects started you’d never know it. I’ve tried to do this kit at least 6 times and every time I rage quit without getting so much as a single step done. The yarn sucks, constantly coming apart, and even when I managed to get a few stitches it’s impossible to see where one starts and another ends. I thought it was just me maybe being in a bad mood the first few times I attempted. It was not, this kit has never failed to ruin a perfectly relaxing day/evening. It is the single most frustrating project I have ever taken on. Id say if you’re trying to learn crochet from scratch, pass on this one. If you already know crochet and have a few projects under your belt it’s probably a good kit, but you still may want to bring your own yarn. Slightly unpopular opinion in the bad review category, I actually liked the tutorial videos. They helped me grasp the concepts of the different stitches, but execution fell apart mostly due to the yarn. ... show more

I am a beginner/intermediate crocheter I love that the kit has everything you need and the pattern is easy to follow. The reason I am not rating higher is due to the yarn with this kit is terrible and breaks easily and the hooks are too small which makes this difficult to complete also I am having to go out to buy new yarn so I can complete this kit. ... show more
