They could be a bit shorter, but I just wound it around the mirror base a few times and it is not hanging out where it could get pulled lose easily. A YouTube video on installing radar in a Cybertruck said you "needed" a certain brand of mirror tap at $46.99 because they include 4 sizes of wires and you need the thinnest possible. Well given the price difference, thought I would gamble with this one for about 1/3rd the price... yeah the thinnest wire was tight but I was able to make it work. Ok so it doesn't have the built-in fuse like the name brand but I don't think that's really necessary. If your car fries, your radar detector is least of the problems. ... show more

2007 BMW 3 series - used to tap power from dome light electrical connectors to radar detector mounted with suction cups to top of windshield. Good quality wires and pins. For my application, having the leads a few inches longer would help position the detector exactly where I want it - the dome light electrical connectors are in the cluster but away from windshield. Bought these extra long RJ11 connections for a hard wired radar detector! Pins are sturdy and push far enough in to connector to get no hassle power! Just tuck the extra into the plastic mirror housing!

    • Simple install - wrong instructions

This was a simple 5 minute install. I already knew which pin slots to use so it went quickly (2017 Mustang). Oddly, the included instructions were for a different product, a dual size pin cable where you cut off the unwanted pins. The cable is very long, more than I needed so I had to route it in long loops to make it not hang down. I only gave this 4 stars because the cable seems very very thin and fragile. The mesh surrounding the cable is much bigger around than the cables inside. Others have said these last about 6 months before the RJ-11 tab breaks. I’m hoping the medium size pin cable that was included will also work, though it likely won’t. For the price, it’s a good purchase. ... show more

After doing many research about my Uniden R8,I got this recommended on YouTube . Blend mount OEM kit wouldn't work with Corvette HTC, You need to use a super think wires . I bought 2 sets just to use thin wires . I am using one on 2024 Accord Touring Accord super easy to use . I just installed this today on my corvette . My son is about to get one for his Corvette HTC 3LT . I told him Ill install it for him Just make sure you tap red wire in red wire black to black wire . I am super happy . No more wires ,I am about to buy a blend out bracket its costly but I need it ... show more
