First and foremost, WOW, this product has exceeded my expectations on just the calming aspect. As a trucker and dog dad of a 8mos 155lbs XXL American Bully, I needed something to keep my pup Rex calm and feel as though he’s being held, and this vest surely delivered! A great fit with very minor adjustments! I started utilizing gel weights from a weighted shirt I used to wear while I trained in weightlifting, so in total the vest has 10lbs on it, 2lbs on each of the shoulders and 1lbs on the rest of the slots on the back and sides. Yes 8mos may be a little too young for most dogs but if you’ve seen his development up close, this pup is sure is a BEAST, and coupled with the XDOG vest, he will be an even more intimidating pup and I can’t wait to update the pics on how he turned out in a couple of months use! Thank you XDOG for this amazing product! P. S. Please make an XXXL just for my boy Rex! Haha ... show more

After ordering the orange one v1 through the website and it arriving and it smelled horrible when it arrived I decided to give Amazon a try and ordered it. I ordered the black one in v3.5 which came with cobra buckles and a better version. But the issues I had with this one is that once I put the weights on it seems to move to one side and I keep readjusting it just like the orange vest I ordered previously. Maybe I need to put it on tighter. Also one of the buckles came backwards and had to twist the nylon part so the buckle would click on correctly. Other than that no issues and it didn’t smell horrible like the other one. Would recommend if your dog is high energy and this will tire them out easily ... show more

This vest has become an invaluable training tool (in an arsenal of tools needed) with our newly rescued Pitbull Terrier. This sweet and loving dog is an absolute menace if not exercised and tired out daily! This vest fits the bill making the most of the time that we have to walk her- by asking her to carry some weight. Sand wasn't heavy enough for this strong 'wild child' dog- and we determined that scuba diving bee bees were our preference for weighing it down-- and they fit well in the pouches provided. She carries extra weight with ease. She loves walking with this vest on and part of her training was learning to sit and stand still (and control her over-excitement) whilst we put the vest on. She is very good about that now (as the walk is her reward). The best part of the vest is the cooling packs that easily slide in the pockets and sit flat and nicely balanced on her sides. Since this dog needs exercise every single day (no matter how hot out) the switch to the cooling packs on hot days is KEY for this black dog. The vest has definitely made her much stronger and fit, and (along with some other behavioral training tools and techniques) is part of training process that is working for her. This vest is helping make an unruly, overly energetic rescue dog- a pleasure to have around. For her part, she loves it and runs to it with a full-body wag twice a day when we say "Walk Time!!!" Highly recommended for fitness and increasing the benefits of walk times. ... show more

This vest is one of best things thats happened for our male Dobe. He's just about 2 years of age and of course has an endless supply of energy. We take him for walks and runs in it and it keeps him better controlled and exhausts him much easier. Putting it on in the house with company keeps his energy better controlled and when he Is on walks with it there isn't as much of a concern from other pedestrians seeing our Dobe in a working vest. The fit is beautiful (it looks awesome I might add), it doesn't rub him uncomfortably like some other vests might, the straps come up plenty far enough to keep his valuables safe and sound lol. He can run comfortably in it which many other vests cannot do at all. I love that you can add and take away the weight and I usually end up placing my phone in the middle pockets for him to carry for me on runs/walks. Tank enjoys it so much now as soon as he sees the thing he knows its exercise time and immediately sits to have it placed around him. The concern others state about it not being too breathable is kind of a given considering its a weighted working vest that you fill with sand at your own discretion. As long as its taken off immediately following an exercise theres not a problem. You could even place some small freezer packs in the middle pockets on longer runs if a concern to keep them cool. I would recommend this item to all breeds, but especially the working/high energy.     • So.. No Weights Included?
Arrived late but excited to get started but knew something was off when I picked up the box. It was unexpectedly light.. turns out, there are no weights included. I have a human weight vest that I train with, it costs less and came with weight so I thought it odd. I youtubed it only to discover that you have to load the pockets with sand or buckshot. (Again, not included) GTFOH! It’s going back.. $152 and a total waste of time .. it’s a great quality vest, just for the price, nope! ... show more
