The media could not be loaded. Just got this harness for my little Lady (dog) today. Decided to try it out! Overall, I will be purchasing more color combos later. 😁 I love the colors. As someone who takes a lot of dogs pictures for Instagram, it's important to have those cute color combos to spice things up. This vendor has a variety of colors available & I appreciate that. There is also a border of reflective material around & outlining the harness, which is very good for night time. As for sturdiness, this harness feels very secure. It has thick connecting clips that feel strong enough to hold my Medium (plus a lil more 😉) sized dog. I pulled on them to make sure they wouldn't unclip easily and they didn't budge. They are also easy to medium difficulty to clip & unclip, as long as you use enough finger strength and keep your fingers clear of the clipping area, you should be good. Would not recommend for someone like my mom, who has severe arthritis, though. There are two metal hooks to clip your leash onto. One is located on the back of the harness (top) & the other hook is located on the chest/belly area. Both hooks are tightly secure and sown into the surrounding material. They seem very sturdy. I used the back hook with my leash today with no problems. Also located on the back of the harness is a little "handle" if you need to hold back your pet for any reason. The handle is an extra piece of strap, so it's not super pretty to look at & might look like you didn't size your dog's harness strap right, but it does its job. I tested it out at the park. Other than that, it looks great and I will be buying at least one more if not several. Seems like it's very well crafted. My dog liked it, too. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I have an english bulldog and needed a harness and not a collar. Ive been using this harness for 3 years now! I got this when she was just a puppy and was able to adjust it as she grew. Amazing quality. I have thrown it in the wash multiple times when she would get it all dirty. Has clips on the chest and back. The handle on the back is GREAT!!! It greats to be able to hold the handle for extra security. I dont know how many times ive had to grab my dog to stop it from chasing chipmunks or squirrels haha. ... show more

Easy put on. Durable. Great handle. The only problem, and this is a big one, if you have joint issues in your hands undoing the plastic clasps can be a major issue. That is my only issue with it.

Beautiful piece. Sizing was way off. I have a corgi and she is usually a medium. I ordered a medium, but had to adjust it to the smallest level and still is just a bit too big. I love Border Collies and have raised and trained many. I have a lot of experience at restraining these little Houdinis! We have a Border Collie puppy, 4 mos. old. This is a perfect size for her (XS). It has two places to connect to the leash. The one on top is the standard. The one on the chest pulls her around to face me if she tries to bound ahead to take ME for a walk. It fits snugly enough that she can't back out of it nor does it chafe her anywhere. She can't turn and chew it. We leave it on 24/7 right now with a short leash to step on when we have her wait but she runs. It has plenty of extension strap as she gets larger but by 40 lbs, she will need a medium. The colors are great- the red and teal really stand out against her black and white fur in the daylight and the 'fluorescent' reflecting trim really does highlight her for traffic at night. It's well made. Better than any of the others I've examined or tried to use This is the harness you NEED for that little rascal! When we size up, we'll replace this with a larger one...probably a medium with straps snugged down. First edit: Baby girl has grown fast. I reordered both the small and medium sized to get a correct fit. The small fit most accurately at 6 mos. What made the difference was the LENGTH of each of the three (between the neck and chest.) The weight of the buckles played a part, too. Going by the parents' size, she'll be about 35 lbs full grown and the small may well still fit for circumference, but again, the length may come into play. Each size becomes more substantial with the straps and buckles. We'll keep the medium to use down the road. I really, really dislike collars. The head jerking against the spine is just not safe for some dogs. 6 mos: At 25 lbs, small still fits. 9 mos: switching to medium. Tightened as much as possible, it is a bit slack but the small is pulling against her front legs. 1 year old now. 30 lbs. Long and lean. A medium fits well now and has enough strap left to lengthen as she fills out. I think the medium is as large as she will need. Something I hadn't mentioned is the loop on the back has been very useful for a quick grab when she was younger or working with "sit" vs. "lie down." Another point is it can be thrown in the washer with dog towels after a bath so it doesn't get that horrible smell that leather gets. As she's grown stronger and heavier, I really appreciate the ring on her chest. When she starts to pull suddenly (as puppies do) the dynamics of the lower ring swings her around to face me. Ya jus' gotta laugh at her expression! The plastic clips haven't caused any problems and the webbing and stitching stayed strong and dependable. These harnesses are amazing! My golden wears hers pretty often, and it has not fallen apart at all. We actually have two now because we loved her first one so much. Now she has a designated outside harness and an inside one. The size is great it still fits her even though we bought it months ago (she just turned one).
