It came with a rubber coaster, which looks like a slice of lemon. The coaster works well and is washable. I was thankful for this little cute coaster because I can set heavy cups of coffee or a tall glass of milk on the tray with NO worries. Fits perfectly on the arm of my living room chairs. I thought it was going to be real wood but it's plastic. blends in VERY well with my dark wood though! The arms seem to be able to adjust tightly to a multitude of arm sizes and they are bluntly serrated so they grip and don't slide!
