I think these kits are a great value. You get 4 paintings to work against. If you're trying to do a good job, the paintings do take quite a bit of time and precision. The Pikachu is the easier of the bunch. The Stitch is doable for the younger kids, but don't assume it'll look as good as the originals they're providing. Mario is definitely difficult, and would recommend your older (4th grade+) to paint him. Otherwise, the kit seems to offer good value. If you're trying to do a rush job, each painting can be done in an hour, but I dont think it'll look that great. Each painting comes with its own set of paint, 3 brushes, and some hanging hardware. I'm not sure what to do with the hardware, as there is no frame to mount it on. Tips: (1) Iron the canvas before hand. This is in the instructions, and will give you a flatter surface. (2) Maybe pin the canvas to a larger piece of cardboard, which makes it easier to move around when you need to dry out the painting before moving onto the next set. ... show more

This is a DIY paint by numbers project. Printed on canvas. Brushes and paint included. This canvas has very small printed numbers and it is intricate. I feel that this is more suitable for older children and adults.

The media could not be loaded. The paints are good and has around 6-8 per picture, three bushes for each picture too. The canvas is soft like leather so it won’t seep through and the guidelines are great. Has installable hanging triangles too this is awesome! Worth it!

My 4 and 5 year old love coloring and painting in addition to princesses, so I thought this was the best combination. However, the canvas is pretty small and the numbered areas are extremely small. My kids do color by number a good amount and this is way above their level. This is much better suited for an 8+ year old. If your 4/5 year old did it, it would be fine, but likely not really "inside the lines" by any means. ... show more

I like that the designs are not overly complicated. I think kids if mostly any age would enjoy this set. The older kids can take more liberties with blending colors, going outside the lines, and making it really their own. While younger kids can follow the pattern as best as they can. Cute little canvases, each picture comes with everything it needs except the frame. I had anticipated hard canvas, but it's actually a soft canvas that came rolled up. The prints are good quality, easy to follow paint guides, and should be a lot of fun.
