    • Misleading video but good product overall
I purchased this art kit to do with my 9 year old niece. We watched several videos about it. In the videos, they show putting the powder in the water, then dropping the paint, watching it spread and using various tools to make designs. Easy enough. I never opened the box until we were ready to start. Turns out for good results you have to mix the powder in the water 6 or more hours in advance to allow it to dissolve. If you just drop it in the water that is in the small pan, it just clumps and no amount of stirring causes it to dissolve. Thus, the painting results aren't that great. Also, if you make it in a bottle just before using, no amount of shaking causes it to dissolve thoroughly and gives only slightly better painting results. When we made it a day in advance, we still had one big glob that didn't dissolve, but it clung together so we could remove it and the water solution worked well. Best results. We enjoyed using the product, but they should adjust the video by adding text that says to make the mixture in advance. ... show more

The instructions aren't very clear but it's not hard to figure out. The solution takes 6 hours to be ready so don't expect you can use this right away when you receive it. I would recommend making a couple of bottles of the solution ahead of time if you have small children since it takes 6 hours for the solution to be suitable to use. ... show more

I ordered this for my son but after it arrived I decided to keep it for myself. It’s very simple to make amazing creations. It’s very relaxing and I feel it’s a better option than sitting around watching tv. It’s taken longer than expected for them to dry but it may be due to the cold weather. I’d advise to wear an anpron or an old shirt while doing this to avoid staining. I’ll add the photos after they’ve dried and been framed! ... show more
