I picked up this electric bike for under $700 with the coupon and it was delivered in less than 3 days..not bad. Quick assembly with provided tools. The bike is heavy and not for short people (I'm 6'3") due to its 27 1/2 inch wheels and heavy welds. The electric motor is operated via a thumb switch on the left side of the handlebar which you can feather if you don't want to go full throttle. One concern is not being able to find a replacement battery either on line or on the Veefa website, but I'll cross that bridge down the road, they must be available somewhere. Overall the build quality, fast shipping and performance have been good for the money, and I'll update this review with any glitches at a later date. Update: After having this bike for a couple months, I haven't had any problems with this bike, it's been great. Would I change anything? Yes, I would order the step-through version. Being older with a little arthritis in my hips, throwing my leg over this big frame can be a chore, so if you are older you might think twice about the step-over version. Another thing...If I was going to order an electric bike again, I would go with an off-road version with wider tires, as this model is not great on gravel, it is a great road bike though, I would just like to have the option of a little off-road ability. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. It looked easy to assemble.. We initially made a mistake and did not align front wheel with front disc pad and hence the bicycle would not move( They should stress on this in video instruction) We realized it and fixed it, but then the bicycle made squeeking noise.. When I called their call center , they advised me to loosen a screw near the front brakes and then the squeeking stopped. It looks like a good bike, good speed, with bundled front light and back seat.. A back light would have been nice, but we got back helmet lights instead Update Feb - After using it for couple months, we are very happy with it. Likely one of our best buy. I'm going to be really honest. This bike was easy to put together, however there were some bolts 1 overtightened and can not remove it. It's a minor issue, however they should be carefully checking the bolts so this doesn't happen. Riding is so much fun. This bike is made for tall people I'm 6ft and I'm glad I changed my mind last minute and avoided a folding bike purchase. The price point great for a newbie just getting their feet wet. I recommend going to a parking lot and practicing turning. It'll take a little bit to get use to the heavy feel but it's not too bad. Also with me being tall I still have to step over and that will also take practice. Would of been 5 stars if the bolts wasn't stuck. Her name is mint julep. She's a very demure lady :) ... show more

I’m a pretty big guy (6’3” 250) and this bike is a perfect fit and has plenty of power. It is also a darn good looking bike. Easiest bike to put together requiring only the front wheel, front fender, handlebar and seat slid into the tub. Nothing else needed except putting a little air in the tires. Would I buy again? Solid bike. Packaged well, which means it takes so time to unpack. Tunes well from the start for the two bikes I bought. Love them. For an older person with any balance issues it could be somewhat challenging in assist mode as even at low speed 1 it can go fairly quick. The key is to gear up in the derailleur as the speed of the pedals turning makes it move faster. I realize that is intuitive but takes some practice. That said, lovely ride.     • Cheap and hard to get parts for - Don’t buy this bike

Gave this as an early Christmas gift to my son. The bike came with a flat tire, for which they made me buy a new one, even though it had never been ridden. Their website had no more replacement tubes so I contacted them and they kindly added 1 tube to their store and I bought it. Son rode bike to school and to the store only for about two months. He crashed coming home from school, 1 crash and not injured other than a bruised knee. The rear tire completely folded, taco shaped and reunited. I tried to locate a replacement online and none listed on their store. I contacted them and they said they don’t have any in stock and it would be a month at least to get more in, then they offered to send me a used one for $200. I think I’ll go look for a new brand of bike to purchase verses put more money into a bike that can’t handle brining a kid to school and back for two months without falling apart. Other pieces of the bike, before crash, were loose and poorly made. It’s a cheap waste of money. ... show more
