  • Excellent 125cc dirt bike for a fraction of the price of a Japanese equivalent
I bought this for my son's 12th birthday, after he had more than out-grown his 50cc Pit bike. First and foremost, the X-Pro (Coolster) 125cc runs about 1/4 the price of a new Japanese model of the same size, and is well built and plenty powerful. Do not expect Japanese quality however, but this bike is definitely not 1/4 the quality of a Japanese model...it has many quality stock parts. The steel frame is welded nicely and there's no need to add the small upgrade parts that many Chinese-made bikes lack. The X-Pro comes with a nice fuel shut-off valve, stainless braided hydraulic disc brake lines, decent quality tires, a heavy duty 420 sized chain, fuel filter, a good air filter, and quality disc brakes. From my experience, the nuts and bolts were all tight, this bike was assembled properly and did not need much adjustment or tweaking after unboxing and assembling the few parts that required assembly. I used BLUE loctite on all of the crucial bolts on the wheels, engine, forks, and monoshock. As with most Chinese-made bikes, this 125cc X-PRO Coolster dirt bike is a Honda clone. Therefore many Honda-made parts are likely to fit this bike. Assembly takes about 30-60 minutes depending on your experience working with dirt bikes and motorcycles in general. The only parts that need to be assembled are the handlebars, front tire, front fender, and the rear monoshock needs to be bolted to the frame. Other than that, very little assembly required...the bike is 90% assembled on delivery. Some things to check on ALL Chinese-made dirt bikes: check your nuts and bolts, especially on the forks, the front and rear wheels, front/rear sprockets, frame bolts, monoshock bolts, etc. Loctite (blue) as many as possible so that the bolts do not vibrate off the bike in the future. Grease up the front and rear axles, and add some grease on the wheel bearings as this will substantially increase the life of the bearings. Check the chain tension - it may be too tight from the factory, it's better to have a slightly tight chain (when new) compared to a loose chain, as the chain will stretch out during engine break-in and loosen up on its own. Change out the engine oil immediately, do not run this bike on whatever junk oil is used at the factory. The factory oil is ONLY meant to protect the engine from corrosion during storage and shipping. I recommend using non-synthetic dino oil during break-in, 10w-40 or 20w-50 depending on your climate. Lower viscosity oils make for easier starts but they don't lubricate as well as higher viscosity oils in hot climates. Use JASO WET CLUTCH compliant motorcycle oils only! Do NOT use straight-up SAE oils as they have friction modifiers that will cause the clutch to slip and damage may result. Switch to synthetic oil once the engine breaks in...dino oil allows for better "seating" of engine components and gears during break-in. After the bike has run through 4-5 tanks of gas, change the engine oil again. Synthetic 10w-40 or 20w-50 motorcycle (JASO wet clutch rated) oils are fine after the second oil change. Some bolts or nuts MAY be missing due to shipping. In my case, ONE NUT was missing...the nut used to secure the monoshock bolt to the frame. $0.50 for a stainless nylock nut (I replaced the bolt with a 3/8" stainless bolt of the same length as well) to replace it at the hardware store, no big deal. It likely fell off during shipping. The bolts and mounts for the handlebars were packaged inside the accessory box, the rest were already attached to the frame (such as the bolts used for the front fender). Look around on the frame for any nuts or bolts you might think are missing, as some are already on the bike, you just have to look. If you have worked on dirt bikes or motorcycles in the past, instructions for assembly are not necessary for this bike. If you need instructions to figure out how to assemble, find someone who is savvy with dirt bikes or mechanically skilled to help out. Keep in mind the user manual for this bike is a rough Chinese to English translation. The manual refers to the bike as a "car" and there are lots of language translation errors. The only drawback (and this might be considered a feature) is that the kickstart is pretty stiff. An adult will likely need to kickstart the bike to get it to fire up. New engines always have high compression compared to broken-in engines. When choked, the Coolster almost always starts on the first kick, but for most kids 16 and under the kickstart will likely require a little too much force. Over time the kickstart should break-in as the engine breaks in. Customer service was great, the seller communicated delivery times and the shipping was very fast. I had the bike less than a week after ordering. Great customer service experience and my 12-yr old loves the bike...this bike is the perfect size for most 11-17 yr olds, unless your kids is unusually small or large for their age. I am about 5'10" and I can comfortably ride on it, plenty of power as expected from a 125cc 4-stroke Honda clone. ... show more

  • This is a great little starter bike that is fun for adults too
I took a chance on this after not being able to order a Coleman 70DX for my kids (8 and 11 years old). I was looking for something roughly equivalent to the Honda CT70 I had as a kid (4 stroke, multi-speed with semi-auto trans and centrifugal clutch). This appears to be a high quality motorcycle that has worked flawlessly from the moment I assembled it. I am more than double the weight capacity for it and it carries me around the yard in 4th gear with ease. It will really rip! My only complaint is that the kick start takes too much effort for my kids to do. I even have some difficulty with it sometimes as the compression on this engine is quite high. It has surpassed expectations greatly! ... show more

  • Great Bike for the money. Very spunky.
Color: Black
This is a good bike. Make sure to do the break in. I got metal shavings out of oil. Changed oil 3 times between 1hr rides. No more shavings. Bike runs great. 1 kick to start. I recommend a semi auto for kids. Bike has power. My son starts in 4th so the front dont come up on him. Im 150lbs and it will come up in 3rd gear. Hard to kick even for me. Hope that loosen up with some time. Overall im giving a 5 star for price. And how well it runs. I hit every bolt i could find with locktight. Im very pleased with the purchase. Also it was almost 2 weeks early on delivery. Thanks again my son loves it. ... show more

  • Coolster is cool!
The media could not be loaded. Awesome dirtbike! Im about 6’ and this bike still gets me up to 45mph. Ive been trying to upgrade it and ordered 2 diff carbs but i cant seem to find the correct one to use. But yea, its really fun to ride. I wish it had more gears though, It only has 4 gears and i keep finding myself trying to look for that 5th and 6th gear lol. I Had it for about 2 weeks now, and if something comes up i will update this review. For now im happy with it :) ... show more

We have had problems with the bike but there customer service has really stepped up & sent us multiple parts to try & get it running again. I will give 4 stars for customer service & if the parts fix the bike I will give a 5 star rating. Thanks for the great customer service

  • Damaged and missing parts…
Color: Black
Review would’ve been 5 stars if bike didn’t come damaged in the box it came in. Box looked like it was stabbed with the forks of a Hilo. Also plastics for the bike was all scratched up upon receiving shipment to my house. As well as missing parts that I had to get from my local hardware store to complete assembly for the bike. Overall bike rides nice and is a fun thing to do, but didn’t like that it wasn’t complete upon receiving. Also the damage that was done to it. ... show more

  • Spend a little more and buy the other more expensive x-pro
This bike came missing more then a few nuts and bolts I fortunately have extra metric. If your going to try and save a few hundred bucks by buying this one consider that a lot of the parts are extra cheap. If you buy this buy better plastics, handle bars, and levers. The bike is actually hard to start for a little 125. And the shifter is a weird set up and very hard use even for adults it changes gears very hard. ... show more

Well I must say I'm very happy with the bike looks way better than in the pic it still saying shipping on my account but I have it early my only issue is it doesn't have a clutch .... So I just got back from riding it like a bat outta hell so the gearing is neutral is at the top and shift all the way down it stalled out when it saw some real dirt bikes crazy but other than that imma put street tires on it swap the chip and the carb maybe in the future might do an Amazon turbo kit ... show more
