This is a light quilt or comforter, ideal for either cold or warm weather use. We use it along with a light blanket and top sheet year-round. Unless we have guests and want to look frou-frou, we use it as a daily bedspread. The small box quilting gives it a neat and tidy appearance, and the fabric is soft and comfortable to the touch. I love that it is big enough to cover our king bed with plenty of overlap (size is 106" x 94"). The quilt is made of 100% polyester and is machine washable with cold water on gentle cycle. It can also be machine dried on low temperature. It is recommended not to dry clean. The quilt comes compressed in a vacuum bag, which pops open when pierced. I was amused by the directions, which said to "Hang in sun and tap gently" to restore it to full fluffiness. Who still has a clothesline in the backyard? lol. I just tossed it in the clothes dryer for about 15 minutes on low and it fluffed up nicely. This is a nice all-season bed cover that is well-made and attractive. ... show more

I needed a light weight summer weight quilt for my guest room as we don't have air conditioning in our house and some summer nights can get pretty warm. This is a VERY thin quilt, and it honestly will work perfectly for my needs, but I definitely wouldn't use it in the winter without a warm blanket underneath. I think the stitching is nicely done, and I like that there is plenty of overhang on both sides of the bed (oftentimes with King size, there is barely enough to cover the sides of the bed). This quilt and shams are just what I needed for my Murphy Bed. I washed and dried them first , and they came out smooth and wrinkle-free. I chose the white color to brighten up the guest bedroom because it doesn’t have windows. They are lightweight and cool, and very attracted and appealing. Just looking at them makes me want to jump in the bed. The stitching on the quilt is perfect, but there are odd gaps in the same place on both shams. I don’t know if this is a flaw or intended for some reason, but the sellers description says nothing about it. Other than the gaps in shams, I’m very satisfied with this and recommend it. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Yes, this is quite lightweight as mentioned in the product description. Perhaps more lightweight than other quilts we've had purchased from department stores where you get a chance to feel them before you buy. Also the threading contrasts the gray color... it does not look like the photos. It's not bad - just not the expected look.
