This cover is really more for decorative purposes or as a light blanket, which is what I wanted since I use a heavy velvet blanket under it for warmth. if you want it to come to the floor on the sides of a queen bed then buy a king size, as I did. But it doesn’t go all the way up to the top of the bed, but I always fold the top down and the pillows cover. The colors are a bit lighter than the picture but it brightens up the room so I’ll keep it. It’s Just right for what I wanted and the pattern is on both sides of the blanket. The colors are vibrant and has held up very well so far! It’s sturdy enough to survive 3 large dogs wrestling around on it yet soft enough to pull up over top a comforter on those chilly nights! Adding one of these overtop your comforter makes a world of difference helping to keep the warmth in! I have zero issues with it wrinkling, and it’s a breeze going thru the wash! I am somewhat of a bedding snob and would only buy more high end bedding sets for our king size bed. Not that long ago, I purchased a beautifully patterned quilt set that was imported from India. I love it but it turned out to be quite fragile and our 18 pound Westie ended up putting a big hole in it. I decided I wasn't going to make the mistake of spending a fortune for a quilt set again. I wanted something lightweight for the summer (We live in hot and humid Florida.) and decided to try a microfiber quilt instead of all cotton. This particular quilt set is better than expected! I loved the price and the colors of this quilt. It’s light but enough to warm you. However, 6 mos after purchase it is literally coming undone. The thread of the stitching is out and it’s a mess. I’ve been trying to clip the strands but it’s just too much.
