These are WONDERFUL pliers in a VERY useful case!!! I am OVER THE MOON HAPPY! with these BEAUTIFUL, HIGH QUALITY Workpro Pliers SET. These were a SUPER great PrimeDay Value, but I expect I'll be buying more of them at regular price as needed. I just started teaching workshops, and needed to expand my jewelry tools. THIS Workpro set is so comprehensive that not only did it include the usual pliers (pic 01) and ALL six pair had SMOOTH jaw surfaces (see pic 02; VERY important to keep from damaging metals, woods or leathers), but there are two pliers types I've not used before (see pic 03) and I can't wait. That big nylon-grip surface should be GREAT for the most delicate metals and the wire-looping pliers (with the cupping jaw) I can already see will make coiling chainmail links more consistent and easy. I was just using plain round nose pliers for that, so am excited for the upgrade! Lastly, the set has it's own travel case (Pic 04; nice for taking to workshops) and Workpro even included a jump-ring tool. It will be good to have my own, since the jump ring tools I was taking to class were always in use by the students! Well done, Workpro! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my new pliers set!!!!! ... show more

Using these to make Wired Cord Letters. Working well to make sharp bends and smooth curves. Excellent little set with wonderful case.

    • Use for very light gauges
I had an 18g 14k filled square half-hard gold wire. Used the round/square impression jaw plier to shape the wire and it visibly slightly twisted the jaws and had no effect on the wire. The jaws appeared to return to their initial position, apparently no harm done. Decided not to try other pliers. But the point is if you plan on working that type of wire you probably need a sturdier set. I would imagine a much lighter gauge and softer wire would be shaped fine. This is a decent set of you're just getting started in wire jewelry. I bought the set less than 40 days ago and haven't used them daily, mostly on weekends only. Pros- Cost to get started and see if you like and enjoy wire work jewelry. Cons- they leak lubricant with each use from the round connector section. The tips of the pliers were not straight and didn't line up. The round nose are not strong enough to use the tips on anything larger than 20gauge. The springs pop out on use almost immediately. The cutters also do not cut smooth. They pinch the wire into a triangle shape requiring filing of your wire ends. The cutters and chain nose I bought other brands about day 30 due to not being able to use them reliably. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't purchase again. Just starting out though it gave me an idea of what tools I needed to invest more money in. ... show more
