I use these for jewelry making and while they are probably more heavy duty than I need, I find the delicate tools made by jewelry finding companies tend to break easily, especially the tensioners, or the rubber coatings on the handles give way and slip off. I love the variety of pliers in this set. Super helpful for jewelry making and small repairs! The pliers are sturdy and feel really durable as well. I do wish the carrying case wasnt as bulky on the inside with the velcro straps, but it works!

These are WONDERFUL pliers in a VERY useful case!!! I am OVER THE MOON HAPPY! with these BEAUTIFUL, HIGH QUALITY Workpro Pliers SET. These were a SUPER great PrimeDay Value, but I expect I'll be buying more of them at regular price as needed. I just started teaching workshops, and needed to expand my jewelry tools. THIS Workpro set is so comprehensive that not only did it include the usual pliers (pic 01) and ALL six pair had SMOOTH jaw surfaces (see pic 02; VERY important to keep from damaging metals, woods or leathers), but there are two pliers types I've not used before (see pic 03) and I can't wait. That big nylon-grip surface should be GREAT for the most delicate metals and the wire-looping pliers (with the cupping jaw) I can already see will make coiling chainmail links more consistent and easy. I was just using plain round nose pliers for that, so am excited for the upgrade! Lastly, the set has it's own travel case (Pic 04; nice for taking to workshops) and Workpro even included a jump-ring tool. It will be good to have my own, since the jump ring tools I was taking to class were always in use by the students! Well done, Workpro! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my new pliers set!!!!! ... show more

Seems like a fairly decent tool set , haven’t really got to use these particular tools yet, reasonably priced , look forward to using them nice compact case . Putting then into action will reveal more about their durability.

    • They're decent for casual hobbyists, rank beginners, or plane travel
I bought them for plane travel, with the idea that if TSA refused to let me have them, I could simply leave them behind. (My pro tools stayed home.) They were sturdy enough for light work. But, these are best bought by casual hobbyists, as a way to become familiar with handling tools. The wire straightener worked well, as did the round-nosed pliers. Two of the pliers had rough working surfaces. One had a tiny "lip" on one side, creating a line in the wire I worked with. The cutters were also compromised; not as sharp as a professional pair, and a funny drop of metal where it shouldn't have been. These are good for rank beginners using cheap wire.
