We decided to mix things up and go for the lodge look for a bit and this set fit the bill nicely. We like how the quilt is oversized and was perfect for the two of us in our queen bed. A delicate cycle wash and dry (using wool dryer balls) fluffed the quilt a shams a little as well as given it some more softness. I didn’t notice any kind of funky smell from either the quilt or shams when we opened it up. We had no issues with pillows fitting the shams and the quilt has a nice weight to it. It was much better quality than I was expecting. Felt sturdy and substantial, not super lightweight and flimsy. Colors are beautiful and bright, the size is generous so it fits the king bed well. I love that it's just a little heavy and still light enough I don't sweat. I have washed it several times and it has stood well against that. My kids got highlighter on it once and it came right out. We have used it year round for a whole year. I would most definitely buy another one!!
