My wife and I both love cycling and we got an e-bike that was 26" in height and it was a little low for me. My wife decided to use that for herself and I got this 27.5" model. E-bikes are so convenient to ride and use and it makes it easy to go for long rides. Considering the factor that good manual bikes are almost the same cost as this one, it makes sense to go for e-bikes. My detailed comments are below after using it for a week and I would recommend this product to anyone looking for an e-bike in this price range. My 2 cents are below: Pros: - This bike ride is very smooth overall. It handles well in bumps as well because of the front suspensions- Has 3 modes to ride the bike - ebike, assisted bicycle & normal bike. - Shimano 21-speed transmission system in form of gears and that should satisfy all the needs for any terrain of biking - Has a maximum speed of around 21.6MPH. I am not sure about you but riding a bike over 15MPH is something my wife and I both don't prefer for safety reasons and hence it delivers as per our needs. It has a 500W high-power motor and immediately catches the speed on pressing the trigger - 48V battery gives around 43 miles range on a full charge and that is a good number for an e-bike in this price category - Digital HD led display is very fancy and intuitive but I wish it was colored - Front suspension is lockable as well to suit your needs - Has disc brake in both from and rear wheels. It worked great overall for sudden and usual brakes while riding it - Buttons for horn/headlight are very accessible being under the display facing your side. It is very easy to control even while riding - Central b/w display visibility is nice even in sunlight. The screen is very bright and has no issues in reading values even in bright light - Headlight LEDs are bright enough for night rides as well. We usually tend to ride in the evening or when it is about to get dark and hence we liked this - Overall this e-bike looks fancy and targets youth customers. It would be a great choice for anyone in the '30s - Tires have good grip overall and we did not feel it skidding as if now - Great build quality and structure feels very strong from any angle - It is easy to charge with the access point in a nice area. It charged from zero to full in around 5 hours and I found it to be true to what the manufacturer claims - Battery compartment is removable and is IP54 waterproof - Comes very well packed and there was no damage at all - Bike comes in big packaging with most of the assembly already in place. Just had to fit some parts and screw them up. It was overall an easy assembly but sometimes you may need 2nd hand to get it done easily, especially for hooking the front wheel - Detailed manual provided and should cover any question you may have during use, however, there is a con as mentioned in the 2nd section - Manufacturer offers a 1-year warranty on the bike - Has multiple (4 to be precise) color options to choose from - Very reasonably priced in this category of product and it is a bank for the bucks Cons: - I wish it had rear suspension as well for a smoother ride in plain terrane - Should have a bike lock inbuilt, preferably an electronic one just like how you have in motorbikes for that convenience to take it anywhere - I really wish it had rear fenders for dirt protection and a rack to keep something. This bike is made for mountain biking and so mud or water coming on the rear body of the rider is not a very appealing thing - Taillight is just a reflector and not a brake-operated electric light. When the battery exists with 2 disc brakes in the bike, then the tail light should have been included in this bike - There are no assembly instructions included in the manual that comes along with the bike ... show more

    • More Fun than I Anticipated!

I am no stranger to bikes but this was my first electric bike so i wasn't quite sure I knew what to expect. The biggest question running through my head was "Will I lose the healthy/exercise benefits of riding my bike around the neighborhood?" and the answer is most definitely NO! An "E-bike" is a bicycle first and foremost. It has a well built, light weight, aluminum frame. Front shocks to handle the bumps in the road, Combo tires (good for road and light off road duty), Shimano gear shifters for smooth gear transition across 21 different speeds, and dual (front and back) disc brakes. The additional elements that I found with the addition of the E-bike elements is a powered LED lamp - perfect for being seen at night, an electric horn for getting peoples attention, a giant battery positioned over the lower beam that is balanced in the center of the bike, a control panel that is the smarts of the bike and provides a visual display, and a throttle on the right side to determine how much assist is received when needed. The cool thing about this bike is that I can 100% use it as a normal bike without ever turning on or using the E-bike advantages. When I do turn on the electricity though - the bike becomes a lot more fun to ride and gives me many more options into the type of terrain I traverse. I live in a hilly neighborhood with some hills that regardless of gears i have to get off and walk my bike up. When i took them on with some Electrical assistance I was able to keep pedaling and make it to the top of the hit at a steady pace. I was blown away. There are now new trails and areas of my neighborhood which i couldn't explore before but now can. The computer allowed me to dial up and down the level of assistance as needed. I could choose a light amount to keep things pretty stock, or really turn up the juice when hitting some of those challenging hills. It also let me know how much battery i had left so that i wouldn't find myself stranded. I didn't realize what i was getting into when i picked up an E-bike but now i am hooked. This bike is well built, easy to put together, has all of the features i would look for in a normal bike and all of the benefits found in an E-bike. All in all it is a complete package and I found it to deliver excellent value. ... show more

It's pretty fast and it'll get you around, the suspension in the front of the bike works well. The bike can not take too much of a beating since the bikes taken a few minor and one major impact (i.e ground impacts and a car hit, I am fine) before the control modules needed repairs (which can be expensive). The brake pads can wear pretty quickly with moderate use and up. Overall as long as you're careful it'll last you awhile. ... show more

A great bike for the money. I get complements on it all of the time and people are genuinely surprised how affordable it is. Shimano 21 speed gears, dual disk brakes, easy to use digital interface, bright headlight, motor with a lot of torque.... it's a great deal. The only things are that assembly is not as easy as the video leads on. Remember: The bike in the video is on a mount, when you take it out of the box there is no mount, so it will be more cumbersome than the video leads on; I even saw a video where the guy put the handlebars on backwards because he didn't read the instructions (he still liked the bike.LOL) Also, I live ina hilly foothills area and the bike will maybe go 10 miles max on a full battery, not 20 or 30 miles as the advertisement lists. 20-30 miles is only for FLAT places. But even though it only goes 10 miles, it is enough to take me to the other side of town and back, so all together, I LOVE THIS BIKE. EXCELLENT VALUE, SOLID DESIGN! ... show more
