Arrived a day late,box broken. You must file down all burs,teeth that hold your piece have burs and sharp corners. If not it will leave big gash marks on your project. After filing down it works great. Will use it alot.

Good quality, it does what I purchased it for (to hold 1" pieces). But beware. It is a definite knuckle buster if you get too close to it when the jaws are expanded, and the lathe is turning... ouch!

Been turning for a long time and tried this chuck after my other one was on its final days. That was a $50 one that lasted 3 years before slipping. This one popped the piece 2 times in a row using the same tightening methods I have always used. Immediate return and won’t risk safety using this again
