  • Super fast inflation speed
Good quality product with fast inflation speed. I have another tire inflator that took long time to inflate each tire. Wolfbox tire inflator inflates fast. It comes with case that holds inflator and accessories. It was easy to use without reading user manual and display is large that makes it easy to read. The inflation tube is right length that allows to inflate the tire without holding the unit up. ... show more

  • A tire inflator on steroids!
The media could not be loaded. I literally owned and tested a bunch of tire inflators and of all sorts and sizes, but haven't come across one that is this beefier, this performant, and with specs that leaves the competition in the dust while still in a portable format. Let's start with the whopping 12000mAh battery capacity, that is surely something you'd rarely see in a portable inflator, the max I've seen so far was 10400mAh in a similar form factor pump. The battery capacity is huge and is not necessarily there to power up the pump but also to serve as a power bank to charge up electronics in an emergency. The pump surely doesn't need all that battery as it can also operate while plugged in to 12v source thanks to the provided and generously long cigarette lighter cable. The pump is relatively huge compared to others in same form factor (see photos) especially when compared to the Fanttik X8 Apex which may have been the first to standardize this form that a lot of brands copied from. Luckily this monstrous size translates well to a stronger dual action pump and a bigger and faster air flow which the listing deservedly does not shy from bragging about. If all this is not a hint of how well of a performer inflator this is, then here's a hint for you. Just look at the supplied hose, it is by far the thickest I've ever seen. What that typically means is the pump moves a lot of air and therefore needs a bigger hose to accommodate the flow and not restrict it. This is quite apparent when put next to a standard size hose (see photos). Another factor in choosing the right pump (at least for me) is the noise level. I've seen some that are obnoxiously loud, this Wolfbox on the other hand and despite its bigger internal pump and overall size, it is quite reasonably noisy, not loud enough to get everyone's attention when you're inflating a tire in a public parking lot (see video). The provided case is a plus as many brands don't provide one or worse charge for getting one. The overall build is nice, I like the see-through electronics and the display is crisp. I have couple negatives though: 1- No matter how you set the unit, it always defaults the bar as the pressure unit when powered on. 2- The keypad is hard to read in the dark, plus it is of some very soft rubber material that may wear or degrade quickly with normal use or just heat and moisture exposure. 3- The built-in flashlight is very weak and doesn't live up to the other excellent specs. In all, I think this is a great pump if you own a big truck or mostly care about faster inflation. ... show more

  • Pricey But Inflates the Fastest and Hopefully is a Reflection of Reliability
I have ordered, used and reviewed 2 other portable inflators in the past 7 months. The least expensive of the other inflators died when retesting along with the WOLFBOX. I had only used this other inflator 6 months ago to inflate one vehicle tire! If the price of the WOLFBOX is a reflection of the quality, I would rather have a reliable costly inflator in my vehicle for emergencies rather than one that dies. I rated 4 stars rather than 5 because at this PRICE: 1. I expected even faster inflation times vs. other inflators. 2. I expected settings to be retained during a power cycle. 3. I expected the battery to remain at 4 bars after inflating one vehicle tire. 4. I expected a setting of 33 to be an actual pressure of 33 rather than the 35.9 and 35.5 when compared to a certified independent separate pressure gauge. I still consider this my best portable air compressor. I ordered this WOLFBOX inflator: 1. Primarily because it had double-cylinder design so inflates faster than other inflators. 2. Includes a high-quality carrying case. I tested all 3 inflators on the same completely deflated (removed the valve core) Acura RDX full size 235/55 R 19 vehicle tire. Inflation times: 1. WOLFBOX – Tested twice: Test #1 - 6 mins., 13 secs, Test #2 – 5 mins., 56 secs. 2. Inflator #2 – 10 mins. 3. Inflator #3 – 8 mins., 3 secs. Pressures: All the inflators were set to stop at 33 PSI. After automatically stopping, the pressure was compared with an independent separate ANSI Grade 1A (+/- 1%) certified pressure gauge: 1. WOLFBOX – Tested twice. Inflation times above were adjusted to 33 PSI to accurately compare times to other inflators. Test #1 – Stopped at 33. Certified gauge = 35.9. Test #2 – Stopped at 33. Certified gauge = 35.5. 2. Inflator #2 – Died so unable to compare with certified gauge. 3. Inflator #3 – Stopped at 34.0. Certified gauge = 34.4. COST: 1. WOLFBOX – $120.00 2. Inflator #2 – $36 – died when tested recently. Had only inflated one tire 6 months ago. 3. Inflator #3 – $59.99 Battery status after inflating tire (all were originally at a full charge of 4 bars): 1. WOLFBOX – dropped to 3 bars. 2. Inflator #2 - dropped to 3 bars. 3. Inflator #3 - remained at 4 bars. Battery size: 1. WOLFBOX – 12,000 mAh 2. Inflator #2 – 20,000 mAh 3. Inflator #3 – 10,000 mAh 20 volt battery pack I was surprised that the WOLFBOX did not retain the previous settings after a power cycle. The other two inflators retained their settings. The WOLFBOX was set to “PSI” and “33.0” after power up. After a power cycle, it defaulted back to “BAR” and “2.50 The PSI can be adjusted very rapidly if the +/- buttons are pressed and held. For example, the greatest PSI range is in the “Bicycle” mode. The default PSI is 30.0. It takes 21 seconds to increase to the maximum of 150 PSI. It appears the WOLFBOX can be used continuously for longer time periods than other inflators. According to the manuals: WOLFBOX - After 15 minutes of use, cool for 5-10 minutes. Inflator #2 – After 10 minutes of use, cool for 5-10 minutes. Inflator #3 – After 10 minutes of use, cool for 3 minutes. The inflator hose knurled screw near the valve was only slightly warm after tire inflation and I was able to unscrew it with my bare hand immediately after tire inflation. The hose attached directly to the inflator was quite warm but I was still able to unscrew it with my bare hand immediately after inflation. Size (measured with a digital micrometer). SEE PICTURES: 1. WOLFBOX - Quite a bit larger than other inflators due to the double cylinder design. 103 mm wide x 103 mm depth x 225 mm long 4 1/16” x 4 1/16” x 8 7/8” 2. Inflator #2: 72 mm x 67 mm x 175 mm 2 13/16” x 2 5/8” x 6 7/8” 3. Inflator #3 – Shaped like a full-size drill. Weight (measured with a lab scale): 1. WOLFBOX – 3.6 lbs., 1,645 grams 2. Inflator #2 –1.4 lbs., 650 g. 3. Inflator #3 – 2.4 lbs., 1,105 g The case is a very nice dernier fabric similar to non-scuff, water-repellant luggage. The case is hardshell with a strongly sewn webbed handle with rubber grip. The accessory compartment easily fits the accessories and manual. The manual is written in grammatically correct English, well organized, predominantly black text with orange headings/highlights. Service/support emails, phone number and web address are included. 24 month guarantee and around-the-clock customer support. I highly recommend this inflator mainly due to its short inflation time even though it is pricey. I am assuming the price reflects its longevity. I will update this rating and review if it fails in the future. ... show more

  • One serious tire inflator
This is the battery-based inflator you will want if you have large tires to inflate, and you need them done fast. It is solid, heavy (4.9 lbs), and reasonably quiet for its size. It offers 4 pre-set ranges: car, motorcycle, bicycle, and ball. There are two shortcomings here. First, instead of holding in memory the last setting you used, it defaults to the bottom of the range. Second, a caution appears prominently in the instructions that you cannot use this to inflate air mattresses. I would assume this would have something to do with possibly overheating when pushing out that much air. There are two other shortcomings. First, is that the hose has to be screwed onto the tire. While that's great going on and provides an airtight connection, you do not want to touch that right away after a long fill because it's going to be awfully hot. I simply ordered an air chuck to get around that, so I am not concerned. The second shortcoming is a design issue in that it wasn't the smartest thing to put the USB-C port you will need for charging on the bottom of the device. You might want to be cautious standing this up on a wet surface. In spite of those shortcomings, I still think this deserves five-stars because of how capable and solid this is. It will be in my trunk since my vehicle didn't come with a spare tire. ... show more
