Great stand for the price on sale. I put it together myself and it took what felt like an hour and a half or 2 hours or something. Overall the appearance stands out a lot more than the build quality, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. This stand comes in a lot of pieces but you should keep in mind that you are basically using labeled screws, cam wheel locks, pegs, and notches to assemble labeled wooden panels together which if done properly fits snugly and looks great. The cabinets close shut using magnets and the stand even came with a screwdriver and allen wrench which I used throughout the entire build. Overall this is a very attractive and versatile budget tv stand made with a basic quality of wood using a simple but tedious assembly process that I didn’t really mind. Just bought this to replace a tall entertainment stand - this is a very nice piece! I will start by complimenting that this comes in 2 separate boxes that are shipped a day apart (I appreciate the extra security). The instructions were long and detailed but covered EVERY step and all the parts and components were there! Usually these things are missing some part(s) or are short 1-2 screws - but this was extremely organized and always had at least 2 extra of each screw and bolt (thank you)!! The stand is very well made and sturdy, and the fireplace insert slid in neatly. I haven't turned on the fireplace beyond confirming it works yet, as it's a very hot summer here - but I'm looking forward to flipping it on come this fall and winter! Overall, I was very impressed with this product - I will definitely make note of the maker and keep them in mind if/when I'm looking for another piece, as the set up for this was the best I've ever dealt with (which is saying a lot over the past 30 yrs!). ... show more

Pros: Affordable price, beautiful + solid piece, spacious, heater works wonderfully, temperature is adjustable, comes with a timer and remote, you can have the fire going without the heat, and assembly instructions are clear and easy to do alone. Cons: Assembly is a little tedious (37 steps) and the top layer of wood feels a little less sturdy than the rest of the piece. The acrylic doors could be a little more firm but it doesn’t bother me. We purchased this during the cyber Monday deal since we’ve been on the hunt for a new entertainment center with a fireplace and it has so far been well worth it! It came in two boxes with the fireplace being in its own box - which I appreciated it not being lumped in with all the wood boards. Assembly took 2-2.5 hours on my own, it’s fairly easy just a little tedious is all. It feels pretty sturdy as an whole and the fireplace is great! The heat is wonderful and I love that it’s adjustable. The fire is beautiful at night and we love having it on even without the heat just to add to the coziness of the room. The grey is beautiful, it’s not too cool toned and not too warm either. It’s a true neutral gray. We’ve loved the extra storage space we now have in our tv stand. Having the doors also helps keep all the mess of our board games, extra knick knacks and all that out of sight which was a huge plus for us when purchasing! ... show more

We just bought a house and needed something nice, but didn’t break the bank. This tv stand is perfect. Has enough room for the TV and internet router as well as shelving for extra things. Putting it together was super easy too. You get everything you need plus extras. Screws went in super smooth and only took me and my boyfriend a couple hours to put together with interruptions. It is obviously not solid wood, but for the price who cares! The color is perfect. THE ONLY THING that I would say is a con - it doesn’t feel 100% stable, probably 85%. But if you’re not leaning on it or constantly moving it around I wouldn’t worry about it. ... show more

I admit I was skeptical when I ordered this tv stand because of bad experiences with what I call partical board furniture in the past. This has changed my mind about "engineered wood" products. First, the stand came in a box smaller than I expected. Hey, it's a 53" wide stand, so why isn't the box at least that long? Upon opening the box I see that the instructions show the top and bottom are both made out of 3 pices instead of 1 long board. I decided to move forward and unpack everything. There are many board pieces to this along with the hardware. The directions leave a LOT to be desired. It's the standard picture book instructions and some of the pictures are not very clear for where the hardware goes or which way the board need to face. I wound up making an error when assembling the three base pieces and had the middle section backwards because of this. I did finish the assembly over the span of 2 evenings, probably about 2-1/2 hours overall. One mistake as mentioned above due to poor illustrations in the book. The screw driver supplied worked, but arrived with a slight bend in the shaft. I did need to clean debris out of some of the holes but that was not an issue. The hardware supplied worked well and there are extras I assume in case you drop or lose a piece during assembly. Overall I believe this is an excellent value for the price. Very sturdy. I'm pretty sure this will last us quite a while. ... show more
