  • Mustang 5.0
I use it in my 92 Mustang lx 5.0 and my 87 Mustang GT. I add a few small magnets to the outside of the filter to catch some extra grit. The element would probably normally catch this grit but then I'm going to argue that the magnets will make the filter media last longer before getting dirty. I add 5 oz. of Sea Foam fuel treatment to the engine oil about a week before I change the oil. Sea foam won't hurt your engine (it's made from oil). I use Castrol gtx 5-30 synthetic blend. Change oil and filter every 4 months on my daily driver (LX 5.0). Runs strong and clean. ... show more

  • Wix is the only filter
I might be biased, but I only run Wix in my fleet. Great product all around.

  • So far so good
I purchased this because wasn’t big price difference for the regular Wix filter. This fits my 86 ford f150. I’m hoping for better filtration with this XP. The filter seems to be good construction compared to other options.

  • Fits 2nd gen Tacoma
Using this in place of the oem size on a 2009 Tacoma. Same ring seal size just bigger can for more filter flow. It does tap a hose line from time to time that is next to it but not tight rubbing or anything.

  • Filter leak fixed, good filter now
Got this filter for my son's gocart. Had to majorly modify it to make it work and it still leaks. We still use it though, my son is 6 and he wears my old rain coat when riding his go cart now to keep the hot oil from burning his back due to the pinhole leak that shoots strait at his shoulder when he's riding. I had to braze/weld a filter adaptor from a car engine to his lawn mower engine we put on his gocart in order for the filter to work but like I said it still sprays a fine mist of scalding hot oil on his back. If he rides for more than a few minutes he also has to stop ever so often and add oil, went through 2 gallons last Saturday and his seat was full of black motor oil at the end of the day. Update10/09/20: I got smart and fabricated a splash guard that stops the hot oil from hitting my son's back. So he doesn't need to wear the thick rain suit anymore, this is a big plus in the Arizona heat we're having. Before my son would dehydrate and a couple times passed out while riding and drove his go cart under the rear bumper of my truck crushing his one finger. I made another oil shield 2 ft by 2.5 ft because the original shield was letting the oil run onto the tire which would sling a huge rooster tail of oil in the air at cruising speed. My son's friends didn't want to ride with him because no matter if they were in front of behind him they would get scalding hot oil slung on them. One of his friends got his left eye severely burned from the oil before I made the modification to the oil shield. The filter does the job as far as keeping the oil clean I think. My son says the oil is clean because he is constantly adding new oil. I don't know. I'm currently working on a feed system where I have a 5 gallon bucket of oil with a controlled drip system directly into the crankcase, so my son want have to stop and add oil every 15 min. Of riding. I don't want his riding experience to become boring by constantly adding oil, his friend already laugh at him sometimes but that will end with this new modification. So, if you buy this filter keep in mind it will not just screw on to a briggs&Stratton engine, you will need to get a filter manifold from a ford 302 and weld or braze it to your engine. Just try and get a good weld so it doesn't leak like ours does. ... show more

  • Great Filter for Chev 350 5.7L
I used these oversized filters on my wake boat. Great performance and keep oil in good condition between changes. Verified via Blackstone that engine is doing great. Been using this filter on 3 5.7L PCM boats so far. It can be a bit tight to change against the header but it fits.
