I purchased two, so I wouldn't have any mixing of different grades. I washed it out and tested it with water and allowed it to completely dry before first use. The spout section completely sealed water in, the black lid was somewhat lose and leaked water. I would advise to slowly pour and do not invert the container. Was able to fill, measure, and pour into the engine without spilling anything, & no funnel to clean up. Just cap and store until next use. ... show more

The good: -Pretty much everything. -The container appears to be accurate assuming the containers of oil I'm purchasing are also accurate. -The gooseneck is exceptionally handy as I can almost put it in the oil-filling port in my 2016 Subaru Outback before starting to pour the oil. -Both the top cap and the gooseneck cap seal tightly preventing dirt and dust from getting into the clean oil. The good to know: -The flexible neck tends to retain oil so it appears that you're putting in slightly more than you really are based on the measurements. Tip it up to let the oil run back into the main body of the tank for better accuracy. ... show more

This is the second one purchased for oil changes. One for each vehicle since they take different oils, but using this for the diesel truck has been amazing. As a newer diy oil changer, the smaller vehicle was easy, but then with the truck, I had a ladder out and ugh...this made reaching and filling the oil reservoir so much easier. Surpringly versatile for use with motor oil. Still need a towel handy, but I've had no problems with leaks or damage, even in a service box in a pickup. Highly recommend for any mechanic.

    • Very effective and efficiant
This tool is as advertised and well worth the cost. I don't have to use a funnel at all with this pitcher. makes measuring very easy and seems to be of good construction. The flexible spot seems pretty light duty but it has done three oil fills and has held up just fine so far. I really like it.

I have a Kubota skid steer and always had trouble putting oil in it because the hood is so close to the fill tube. This makes the job easier and no more spilling oil on the engine.
