I have used many types of oil wrenches for different cars, tractors, mowers etc that I have had and do own. This one is small enough to get into tight places and still be a one fits most filter tool. I actually bought this wrench to change the pump motor on my hot tub. It worked well to take the fittings off and then back on with the new pump motor and new gaskets.     • Cheaply Made - Low Quality Metal - Teeth are Very Dull

Looks like a beast in the picture, but is closer to a child's toy. Teeth are not anywhere near sharp, and they even have paint on the 'not - so - pointy' edges of the teeth. The good news is that it was easy to sharpen the teeth with a file, because the metal is so soft. This thing (once sharpened) is ok for me, because it has the clearance I need for my car, and I only change my oil once per year, and I can sharpen it again if needed, but this is definitely NOT a professional grade tool. ... show more

The hardest part of changing the oil on my car is removing the oil filter. It’s tucked behind the engine where you have NO leverage but this tool made it so easy to grip on with its sharp teeth and turn it.

Nice handle. It has a good coating to protect your grip. I had some flex in the tool while I was putting force on it. I had a filter on a 2014 Yamaha fz09 that was put on way too tight. The jaws on this tool are sharp and pierced the filter several times causing leaks. I was afraid I was going to rip the filter apart. Only real issue I had which probably caused the tearing was that the tool could not get around the entire filter because of the fz09s design. It worked and I'm glad I have it for multiple vehicles. I just wish It was stronger and the jaws were thinner with a longer handle. This all could be because my filter was on so tight. I am eager to see how it works with a non-stuck filter ... show more
