I have found it can get hot on the dash and as a result, the phone will recognize that and stop charging. We loved it so much, my wife ended up getting one for her car as well. I am very happy with this Purchase, and am also very surprised it was not more expensive for the value so far. I only found 1 thing I find wrong with it. The Tab on the bottom left side does Nothing. The Tab on the bottom right opens the grip arms. I suggest making the tab on the bottom left a hold option to make it not pointless to be there. Overall, it is a great design and very much worth the value. The suction also has a very strong sticky 2 sided tap which makes it double secured. The touch to open works every time, I drive aggressively, so the fact it holds my Phone in place without fail as it charges it is awesome. ... show more

I purchased this item as I had previously purchased one for my spouse. He was happy with the product and has gotten use out of it. But he only drives his personal car once or twice a month (primarily drives his work vehicle or rides with me). I know I am in my car a lot but I definitely expected it to work for longer than 2 months! The charger stopped at a month but the mount would still open and close for a bit afterwards. Now it has completely gone out! I would not recommend this product! Or maybe just this seller? ... show more

I really liked this in the beginning. Looks nice. It fit my '12 Corolla air vent, but didn't stay on my '15 Prius air vent very well. Charged great, but could get a bit warm at times. The grips stopped working after about 10 months and the mounting mechanism fell apart just after a year of use.

I love the gripping system and it has a very good charger, but the gears in the gripping mechanism are ground down and it no longer opens and closes fully. It's a shame, I really like the idea of this unit.
