  • Works great most of the time, but some computers need a deeper dive to install
Style: Windows 11 Pro
I'm an IT Pro with an MSP with 30+ years of support experience. I have always used these keys on my customer computers to upgrade to the Pro version when they purchased a Home Edition computer without my input, and we needed to upgrade to Pro for the security and networking capabilities. There have been occasions where I have found consumer-grade computers, such as Acer and others, where the manufacturer's operating system image may be flawed for the Microsoft process to work. If you encounter this, try the following. It has worked for all of my trouble PCs. If you ever are trying to upgrade a Windows 11 Home edition to Windows 11 Pro, and the upgrade code you attempt to enter into Windows doesn’t seem to be working, climbing to 10%, then 100%, with an error message stating that the upgrade could not be completed at the present time, try again later, or go to the Microsoft store and purchase a legitimate upgrade code, the problem may be the Windows version installed has a bad image. YOU MUST HAVE A GOOD INTERNET CONNECTION FOR THIS TO WORK. To fix (versions 22H2, 23H2), do the following and retry the code: 1 – Right-Click the Start button and select Terminal (Admin) or Windows PowerShell (Admin) 2 – Enter "SFC /SCANNOW" (without the quotes) 3 – Enter "DISM /ONLINE /CLEANUP-IMAGE /STARTCOMPONENTCLEANUP" (without the quotes) 4 – Enter "DISM /ONLINE /CLEANUP-IMAGE /RESTOREHEALTH" (without the quotes) What do these entries do? Step 2 tells Windows to check the current image for issues. Step 3 tells Windows to go online and download fresh copies of the Windows image components Step 4 tells Windows to replace the existing components with the newly downloaded version. Restart and try the upgrade code again. I have had to do it more than one time on occasion to get it to work, probably because the fresh download had an interruption that I didn't see. ... show more

  • Not a true UPGRADE key!
Style: Windows 11 Pro
Ungraded from Windows 11 Home on my new i9 intel processor system. Beware though that the 22H2 update should not be downloaded since it will cause your system to be unusable dure to the disk usage going up to 100% for not reason. It keeps the system so busy it just is not usable. The 22H2 version hopefully will be fixed but for the time being be careful with that version of Win 11 PRO UPDATE: This key is NOT a true upgrade key. Microsoft has debugged a update windows issue I have had since I last wrote this review. The key is a RTM/OEM key that is only to be installed in the Manufacturing of a new PC or Laptop. This key will cause issue when you need to reinstall windows 11 Pro. The reinstall process will not let you keep your Apps and files and Settings so you have to wipe clean your C drive and start over. A true upgrade key will allow you to keep all of your Apps, Settings, and files. Even if you do a complete reinstall with this key RTM type key it may conflict with the original RTM key that was installed in your PC when it was first shipped. Bottom line, DO NOT BUY THIS KEY SINCE IT IS NOT A TRUE UPGRADE KEY. ... show more

  • Loads as expected :-)
Style: Windows 11 Pro
I have a 2020 HP 15" laptop. I updated the 11 Home software to Version 24H2. I found that I needed the Pro Upgrade for work. It was easy. I ordered it from Amazon. They sent me an e-mail with the new Product Key. I followed the directions on how to enter the new key. In no time I had 11 Pro 24H2. It seems to work just fine. ... show more

  • Simplest Upgrade of all windows versions
Style: Windows 11 Pro
Very easy to install just update the product key and I had access to all the features I needed. Although I full reboot is recommended if you are joining a domain.

  • Not a UPGRADE key. It will not work for WIndows 11 Home N to Windows 11 Pro
Style: Windows 11 Pro
I spent close to 4 hours and 3 calls with Microsoft support regarding this issue. They claimed it didn't work because I am on "Windows 11 Home N" and if I reinstall windows it will be "Windows Home 11" and I will be upgrade it. They remotely connected and downloaded and triggered a re-install of....wait for it : Windows Home 11 N, claiming that it will somehow becomes "Windows 11 Home" after re-install, and promised to call back after a hour. To not my suprise, of course as you can see it is still Windows 11 Home N and the key does not work, and there is no call-back. Amazon customer service, on the other hand promised a refund, and did nothing (remember, we rate them after the conversation without seeing the result of their actions). I received no refund. and again to no surprise the second rep mentioned the first one did nothing and promised a refund again. Have to wait and see ! Simply do not buy this product if you are in my position. ... show more

  • Win11 Home to Win11 Pro
Style: Windows 11 Pro
I was trying to upgrade from Windows 11 Home to Windows 11 Pro, but I kept getting a non-core edition error. slmgr.vbs /ipk <new product key> gave an error as well. I ended up using the following command (without the <>) and it worked. I was able to upgrade to Pro and keep all my settings and data. Changepk.exe /ProductKey <Product Key> ... show more
